Synopsis

The Tonight Show with Jay Leno is an American late-night talk show hosted by Jay Leno that initially aired from May 25, 1992 to May 29, 2009, and resumed production on March 1, 2010. The fourth incarnation of the Tonight Show franchise made its debut on May 25, 1992, three days following Johnny Carson's retirement as host of the program. The program originates from NBC Studios in Burbank, California, and is broadcast Monday through Friday at 11:35 PM in the Eastern and Pacific time zones. Unlike Carson or his predecessor Jack Paar, Leno only once utilized a guest host, preferring to host the series by himself. On April 26, 1999, the show began broadcasting in 1080i HDTV, becoming the first American nightly talk show to be shot in high definition. The show is shot in 16:9 aspect ratio. The series, which followed the same basic format as that of his predecessors, ran until May 29, 2009, after which Leno was succeeded by Conan O'Brien. NBC signed Leno to a new deal for a nightly talk show in the 10:00 pm ET timeslot. The primetime series, titled The Jay Leno Show, debuted on September 14, 2009, following a similar format to the Leno incarnation of Tonight.

Bereamic Awesome Movie
Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Maniac-9 Jay Leno is the most successful of all the late night talk show hosts but that doesn't necessarily mean he's the funniest of all them. Middle aged people tend to prefer him in the Tonight Show slot more then when Conan O'Brien had it since they like safe humor instead of anything truly inventive. Most of Leno's best skits are just the same skits he does over and over again like Jay Walking and Headlines. Which are decent skits to do but it's not like he's coming up with completely new and inventive skits that make you laugh, he just goes to the same well over and over again. I'm not saying Leno is bad but if you were to rank the funniest moments in late night talk history chances are he wouldn't have as many things on the list as Conan or David Letterman would.
mm-39 Jay Leno is funnier than Dave, but not as funny as Conan. Jay was a funny comedian at first but his skits are to formulated and predictable. I do not mind Jay Leno. Jay is a good interviewer and has A team guests on The tonight show. However, Conan has better skits. Jay like Dave has become glued to his seat in the last five years as a talk show host. I will watch the show depending on who the guests are, but for pure entertainment I like to watch Craig Ferguson. I give The tonight show 5 or 6 out of 10, depending on the guests. There are just too many of these late night talk shows. They all have the same guests on their shows. Over exposure is killing the industry.
sixersfan243 Top 10 reason why Leno sucks 10. Has to be bandleader Kevin Eubanks to actually laugh at his crappy jokes. 9. I never thought that random typos in newspaper and magazines could be funny the 400th time we see them, but they still are. 8. He tries to act like a normal guy, but its kinda tough when we see him driving a different car to work everyday. 7. Ross the Intern is Gay. OK, so....um...is that it? 6. JayWalking is fake, and not funny. Try harder with comedy sketches, won't ya? 5. Battle of the Jay Walk all-stars is even worse. Someone doesn't know whats in Grant's Tomb! Haha!! And this guy doesn't know who shot Lincoln!! Super funny! 4. The Hugh Grant moment was so staged, and yet, everyone bought into it. Way to fool the morons, sicko. 3. Pimping your show the Michael Jackson trail. Sleazy, not funny and pompous. 2. It's painful to watch him suck up to every celebrity that comes on the show 1. He stole The Tonight Show for Letterman and kissed enough ass to stay there.I hate Jay Leno and you should too. If you disagree with me, you are wrong.
marvel88 The Tonight Show began in 1954, being hosted by Steve Allen, then in 1957 got Jack Paar, and Johnny Carson came in 1962. Jay Leno first appeared on this show in 1977, and became one of the many to become famous because of it. In the 80s, Jay began to appear more regularly, and became guest host in 1987. In 1992, Johnny Carson decided to retire. There was a bitter battle between Jay Leno and David Letterman on who would get the show, and Leno won."The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" aired on May 25,1992. It runs today. It features a great segment, Headlines, in which Jay reads actual headlines from newspapers that have a funny mistake in them. It also has Jaywalking, in which Jay travels in LA and asks questions and finds ridiculous answers from pedestrians. Jay also tells about a 10 minute monologue, that varies from night to night.Jay is a pretty funny guy, and narrowly beats out Letterman. Some things on the show can be a bit cheesy, but it's good. But Conan is still the best.8 of 10.
