FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
Donald Seymour This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Keeley Coleman The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
Anoushka Slater While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
westrida16 Thank you Amazon!! Love the new Tick. Binge watch worthy
mks43094 I very much enjoy this version of The Tick, but I have one small beef. This may sound old-fashioned to some, but I find the use of swearing in The Tick to be extremely gratuitous and it detracts from the overall experience.Don't get me wrong... I'm no prude. I swear like a sailor much of the time. But to me, dropping F-bombs (or worse) for no apparent reason in a scripted series is lazy writing, especially in a show that was once a family-friendly program. It's like tuning into a reboot of The Flintstones to find that Fred and Barney suddenly sound like characters from Goodfellas. It doesn't fit and feels awkward and forced.I have never read the Tick comics, so I don't know how it is handled in that realm, but in the animated series and the Fox series, it was PG (in terms of language) most of the time. I can't understand why they didn't simply follow the precedent set in earlier iterations.
calabiyau-95108 Ok maybe the storyline isn't quite the same as the comics/animated series but that's a good thing actually. It adds a lot more fun by not being too predictable! Griffin Newman is a great Arthur and Serafinowicz had done a great job, he's a warm, funny big ol' Tick! But my favorite character is the Terror; goddamn Jackie Earle Haley NAILED IT
Tyler Durden The Tick is one of the few shows that are 100% made with care and can be thoroughly enjoyed. All the characters are fantastic, their development is interesting, and they play off each other in often hilarious ways. Special mention goes to The Terror. It's striking, that a light-hearted show manages to portray such a menacing villain, and still be fun! Something most "big" superhero movies don't manage to do. I craved for every scene with The Terror. I love that they don't rely too much on mindless action, but much more on telling the story. The somewhat corny special effects may be mostly cost effective, but they also fit perfectly. I saw the whole season 1 and loved it.
