Diagonaldi Very well executed
MamaGravity good back-story, and good acting
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Megamind To all those who have watched it: I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do.
wm-lorber Is anyone else old enough to remember Bill Cullen hosting The Price Is Right in the late 50s and/or the early 60s? I think it was a weekly, maybe prime time, show. I don't recall how similar or different the main format of that show was to the current version. But, at one point, during its run there was a weekly showcase that home viewers could bid on. I recall my dad researching a showcase, and coming up with the correct MSRP, to the penny, of the showcase, which included a new car. Home viewers sending in their bid on a postcard and getting the exact price, or those who came closest to the MSRP without going over would win that showcase. In the event of any ties, the winner was selected by a drawing of those who tied. I think they had that drawing on the air, or a winner was simply announced if there were no ties. I think ties on the home viewer showcase were the norm, and drawings occurred virtually every week. My dad did not win. I believe Bill Cuilen hosted the show for several years, but you never hear about it anymore when they talk about this show. There may have been other hosts as well, prior to Bob Barker. It was a weekly event in my home to watch Bill Cullen on this show every week. I assume they called the '72 version of the Bob Barker hosted show The New Price is Right for a reason. Anyone else remember the Original?
Seth Nelson I just said that because this show is turning 35 soon!!!!! (in terms of seasons)"The Price Is Right" is the famous remake of the 1950s show. It's a big, colorful, bright show where, unlike many other shows, audience members are called on down to stand in Contestant's Row to bid on prizes, and the closest to the A.R.P. without going over will not only claim the prize, but come on up to play a pricing game!!!!!My favorite game is "Plinko;" just about everyone wins something from this game (except for one time, which I heard about but didn't see, thank goodness); it's fun, and it's simple!!!!! If I were on, I would SO want to play "Plinko!!!!!"There's a big wheel to determine who gets to play the Showcase Showdown, and we bid on either an exciting showcase or a boring old "Splendido" furniture package. (NOT !!!!! LOL)"TPiR" is the most successful of the CBS shows, right there with "Family Feud" and "Match Game!!!!!"10/10
jed-estes The first reason I will always remember this show is because I grew up watching it, especially before I was of school age, as it was one of my mothers favorite shows. I loved watching all the old games being played. I don't really that much about the show except for the fact that while watching it I was in a happy place as a child. The show today does not still hold my wonder like it used to, but it still bears watching. And watch it we did in my final year of high school, which is the second reason I will always remember this show. I was in sort of a study hall class and being seniors we had nothing better to do then watch this show in the early morning when we came to class and the teacher was OK with it, so we did. It was the only program the whole class could enjoy. Some of us were jocks and other nerds, and this brought us together. Besides graduation this is the last memory of High School I have. Right after the bell rang on the last day of class we had to go to practice graduation and we turned this show off. Little did know how much I would miss those days of doing nothing. Thank you Bob Barker for giving me some nice memories.
mr_klean18 This is one of the best shows on television! I first saw it in 1998, and I watch it all the time now. Bob Barker is a very good host, and Rod Roddy is a very good announcer. The current models (Nikki Ziering, Claudia Jordan) are also very good. The pricing games are also very unique. Some of them I like more than others (like $50,000 Plinko and 3 Strikes played for a luxury car.) There are 6 pricing games played in a show. After the first 3 and last 3 pricing games, they have a showcase showdown. At the end of the show, there are the fabulous showcases. Do three things for me; sit down, get your pets spayed or neutered to help control the pet population, and watch The Price is Right.
