Acensbart Excellent but underrated film
Console best movie i've ever seen.
Bumpy Chip It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
rollonthenight He's an ex-cop, an ex-alcoholic, with an ex-wife and a miserable life. And he might well be a ginger.Yeah, he's divorced, he's got friends on the force and everybody hates him.But he's got a heart and a partner and together they solve crimes. His partner is younger, hotter, with a girlfriend who wants a baby. But he ain't ready to be a father. They're private investigators, they're broke, they drive an old car that sometimes gets towed away, because they are slobbish and don't read signs. They're kinda clumsy, but tough. And isn't that enough?Sure, they'll find the crook but they won't do things by the book. They'll quip their way through life-threatening situations but it's not all a comedy, each have their personal frustrations.
michael harrison when i read that terriers was cancelled it reminds me why i don't watch a lot of TV, they are idiots this show was great i give it an absolute 10. instead of cancelling why didn't they try another timeslot.Donal Logue was tremendous in the role he played as an ex cop trying to find his way after a divorce and dealing with an alcohol problem i thought FX to be more liberal but they are proving to be yet another moneygrubbing network who could give a rats @ss about art. i just don't get it if they keep this up they will end up like UPN cancelling Star Trek Enterprise. It is just upsetting to discover that when you think there is a light at the end of the TV tunnel it gets extinguished once again by the powers that control the light. Wht next are you going to cancel Justified or Sons of Anarchy
pwhipple06 I absolutely love this show. I was a little unsure if I liked it at first. The first several episodes were great and then in the middle it kind of dragged (but I think that helped the character building that a lot of shows lack.) Now that the season is done I am hoping that FX signs for another season. The actors were superb in capturing the characters and making it feel real. In terms of Hank, I know people who have ruined their lives with alcohol and struggle in the process of trying to build themselves back up. Hank's day to day struggle with everything because he knew he was at fault for the destruction of a lot of things. I remember one of the most nerve wracking moments was not any of the times Hank and Britt were recklessly approaching a case, it was when Hank ordered a drink at Kim's wedding. I remember being on the edge of my seat telling myself "Please don't do it!" I've never really felt that way about a character on a television show, the difference was you cared for the characters of this show. Logue did a fine job with his character. Raymond-James also did a great job with his character Britt. Britt faced many problems like escaping his crime ridden past, contemplating if and when he would propose to his girlfriend, and how to react/handle a cheating girlfriend. Raymond-James did a good job in making you believe his character. He is a kind of an erratic person and your not 100% sure what his next move is going to be. Also I know that a lot of people are saying this and I have to agree, the name needs to be changed. It needs to be more representative of the show. I think it would get people more interested.
paskamaha 10 episodes down, I felt the grandness after the pilot and kept on watching. Hard to explain anyone unfamiliar with the show, what makes 'Terriers' so utterly compelling; the easiest way out would be to just say Hank & Britt are THE best main characters on a TV series in a long, long time. Talking (another) Hank & Jesse (Breaking Bad) chemistry and charisma here. These people are real, with a real heart and a mind, real problems, and real reasons for living. I would never want to throw in any comparisons here, they would just do no justice... either way. Where the Lebowski references come from - me, being the high priest of Dudeism, I still don't get it. Stop comparing people, this is unique, witty, and fun crime/drama, with heavy ups and downs, you do not want to spoil it with sloppy comparisons. Every episode is so well written and directed it laughs at the face of today's television. The casting is immaculate. This is true visionary material; and 'Terriers' just keeps on getting better. I am literally in awe and waiting for the next week now. And I am absolutely, indisputably, in love with Hank & Britt. In a Platonic way.
