adonis98-743-186503 A young Clark Kent struggles to find his place in the world as he learns to harness his alien powers for good and deals with the typical troubles of teenage life in Smallville, Kansas. Smallville has been described as 'epic', 'magnificent' or even 'classic' but it's none of those things, to be honest the producers and the people behind Smallville butchered alot of great heroes and villains like Arrow, The Flash, Darkseid and even Doomsday and the series finale was so poorly made that they couldn't even show the suit (except the last few seconds). The acting was also meh and most of the stories boring as hell although Christopher Reeve's appearance in Season 2 and 3 and John Williams Theme in the Series Finale were dope but still not a good show and it doesn't do justice to Superman. (4/10)

invisibleunicornninja I do have to give this show a bit of credit. I somehow watched every single episode. Yes, I was younger and dumber and it took one line of logic from one of my classmates after I'd finished the whole thing to realize I'd wasted my time "Superman is invincible and his only weakness is some rocks," but it does have a way of pulling in someone who doesn't understand good entertainment. There are flashy colors and a sense of drama. Too bad it all falls apart when you stop to think about what's actually happening. This series is pretty bad. There isn't any because you know that none of the main characters are going to die. (Well, some of them die, but no-one you really care about.) The effects are bad as well as the acting and the script. All of the characters are unrealistically dumb and the #1 plot device in this show is miscommunication. If the characters on this show talked to each other and had any sense of intelligence, there would be no conflict - or there would be some conflict that is actually interesting. 90% of the episodes are dumb filler that keep you watching by teasing an exciting finale. The finales are a bit colorful and there are some explosions, but there are no character arcs or stakes. After the first few seasons I was just watching to see what was going to happen next (and because my mom was pretty obsessed with the series so I watched it with her.) Unless you are a DC fanboy or enjoy cringing or like screaming at characters on a screen to stop being so stupid and do something logical like actually stopping to think about what is going on and find the easy solution, then I wouldn't recommend this series. --Rant about stupidity below. May contain spoilers, typos, or both.--This show actually sets up Lex Luther as a good guy. The only reason Lex ends up as a villain is because he goes insane trying to figure out who Superman is. The only reason most of Superman's friends end up in trouble is because he doesn't tell them who he is. The best superheroes are ones who have friends who understand the situation and can help - Spider-Man, Buffy, Batman, Iron Man, etc. The reason why superheroes have a secret identity is so that they don't get fined for the collateral damage not to "protect their friends and family" - that's why everyone knows that the rich Tony Stark is Iron Man and no-one knows that a teenager named Peter Parker is Spider-Man. True, Batman is also rich, but he did tell some people (I'm referring to the Chris Nolan batman trilogy when I refer to him). Lex could've probably ended up as Superman's greatest ally if he told Lex he was Superman. Instead he went insane. Most of the main characters that end up dead or injured end up as so because Superman withholds information. Superman is incredibly selfish and has the logic of a pissed off fanboy in the comments of a negative review of their favorite show/movie/comic. Just thinking about this dumb show makes me mad, so here is the end of my review.

Realrockerhalloween I was never much of a superman fan myself not knew any of the mythology or story archs, but I thought the trailers for Smallville looked interesting enough.As I was watching the series I started to noticed the story lines were very reminiscent to Buffy with a monster of the week formula and drawn out characters quite enduring.The story is about a boy named Clark (Tom Welling) who is sent from his home planet krypton to Earth and now resides on a farm while he learns to control his powers.Joining Clark was his two best friend's Chloe Sullivan, Alison Mack who I adored in unlikely Angel, and Pete Riley who I was shocked to find out was never in any of the comics. Every week the trip became involved in the weird cases involving members of the student body becoming infected with kryptonite and gaining an unnatural ability that eventually drove them crazy.Lana Lang(Kristin Kreuk) was the equally talented and beautiful love interest who was often the damsel in distress type that gained an inner strength as the series went on.What made me love this show was the emotions it made you feel. I cries along with Clark when his father died and I worried if Clark would make it in time to stop a bomb lines to kill Chloe.The show was never afraid to go dark places and take risks that would've sunken other shows during sweeps week.What I almost forgotten to mention was the different styles of music it was famous for. Many artists pew their recognition and success to a certain fabulous show.
