Wonderful Movie
Baseshment
I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

This was my favorite show back when it was on. Charles Stiles has a lot of charisma, and seems like a very likable and down to earth guy. His diners are also very attractive and likable. People have been saying how this is fake, but when you watch it you know that it isn't fake. It's shush-concerning that people are so doubtful of such a great, wholesome show. I know just from looking at him that Charles is an honorable Christian man. I think all of these people just came from some Youtube video by a guy that comes of as maybe gay. Anyway, the best episode is Very Bad Bosses.

Of course the show is fake, but, let's face it, you aren't going to have the real people one there. Food Network spiced up the stories. They even put in the credits that everything is a "reenactment". That means that it's based on real events, not necessarily about Stiles and his crew. In other words, a real group of people did go through the events, but Food Network, for ratings' sake, exaggerated the story and events. Believe it or not, people do hire mystery diners to undergo a typical service and to infiltrate the staff. People actually get paid to do what Stiles and his team does, but not to the extent the show portrays. It's made to show real events entertainingly. And IT does it's job. Sure, things seem obvious to us as outsiders, but I've lived in a house for over three years and didn't notice big things in corners of the room or on furniture. Remember, it's entertainment based on real events, not actual events taking place. That's why I love this show. It's entertaining.

This show is scripted and staged. They must find their actors through Craigslist because the acting is so bad they are getting exactly what they've paid for. Why not do a real show without actors and a self important pompous idiot for a "host." You can watch better things for the half hour you'll waste on this. Paint drying is one thing you can watch that is far more entertaining. The show itself is a good idea. Expose bad employees. The idea to call this circus into town and have them plant craigslist actors in place of true employees in exchange for giving the restaurant 15 minutes of fame and the food network a show to fill in the time slot I'm sure works out far better for anyone who is not a viewer. In hell they loop this show over, and over, and over.

I absolutely love this show, and I don't even know why. Each episode is unique, and comes to a simple conclusion. Despite the controversy going around that it is fake, whether or not this is true, an entertaining watch for mystery-reality TV lovers. On top of all of this, Charles Stiles is a great host, and he is humorous! He keeps you entertained by reflecting on previous episodes, and teaches the viewer about new technologies. The spy cameras are cool too! I mean, what's not to love about spying on employees? The mystery diner employees are really good actors too!-Nick
