I binged the entire four seasons in under a month. All of the characters are so interesting - you love and hate all of them at one point or another. It's an emotional rollercoaster - I cried A LOT! I love how each episode has its own story, but there is always a thread of flashbacks or flashforewards that keep you hooked until the end of each season. This is not a series you can just have on in the background - you really need to be giving it your full attention to appreciate its brilliance. Couldn't recommend it enough!

The acting and the direction is good but the story line is too complicated to wait each week for a new episode or even wait 6-7 months for a new season.
Before starting to watch the new episode, you have to remember what each main character knows about the truth, what lies one of them has told another, what lies has been uncovered by some other person and which character believes what is the truth. It is too confusing at times.
Its a good show but I would recommend that you binge watch this show when the series ends so the continuity remains and you don't get confused.

As an American drama show lover, it was en evidence for me to watch How to get away with murder. Everything starts with Annalise Keating aka the principal character, which is a prominent criminal defense attorney and law professor at Middleton University in Philadelphia. She picked out five of her students to do an internship at her office : Wes Gibbins, Connor Walsh, Michaela Pratt, Asher Millstone and Laurel Castillo. Along with Annalise's employees like Frank Delphino and Bonnie Winterbottom, the eight of them are going through cases involving murders but also Sam Keating, the husband of Annalise in season one.In the first minutes of the show, the viewer is directly put into the lawyer world and everything that comes with it. You see the house of Annalise and it's actually where almost everything take place in this tv show and you get to know as well all of the important characters. The five students are eager to learn no matter the cost, they take turns succeeding and failing under the tutelage of associate attorney Bonnie and jack-of-all-trades Frank. You, viewers, have to know that during the episodes, it will always follow the same plan : the students face a hard, weird, sometimes a life or death situation, it gets out of hand and Annalise comes and like a superhero rescues them.How to get away with murder, like I said, points the entire American justice system. I saw in the past, angry viewers that argued this genre of series does not show the real life. Well, personally, I think when you choose to watch a tv show, it's not because you want to see and know what happens if you get in trouble it's because you want to chill, relax and have a good time. This kind of persons need to pull themselves together because Shonda Rhimes, the producer, did not create this tv show in order to give a lesson in law. She wants us to be interested in the amazing characters and the fascinating plot.To conclude my review, I want to say why you should watch How to get away with murder. It is far away from any king of difficulties : if you want an over the top, melodramatic, sexy, unpredictable show that will keep you guessing and laughing and freaking out with every cliffhanger, then watch it. A special mention to Viola Davis that plays Annalise Keating. She is unsurprisingly amazing and extraordinary. She is for me the most interesting main characters in all tv shows I watched in my entire life. This show has one of the best pilot I've seen since Grey's Anatomy and I'm like a crazy person every Friday when an episode is out. Final sentence and probably the most catchy one : How To Get Away With Murder is kinda dumb, kinda funny, really engaging and enthralling and constantly surprising.
