A bit like ´Friends´, it is a sitcom that has no other aim than entertaining. It is not particularly smart but thanks to the story line, it is never boring. The actors are clearly enjoying themselves and it is great to see such a good chemistry on the screen.
In a deeper analysis: season 1 is rather cheesy but showing a great potential, seasons 2 to 7 are great, the two last seasons may have some lengths but it is expected that if you are watching these, it means that you like the characters so you shouldn´t mind.
There has been quite a lot of debate regarding the end and there were few alternatives shot but I must agree with the final choice as it is the only one that makes sense to me.
As maybe a more personal and less objective note: the show owes a lot to Neil Patrick Harris. I honestly don´t know if it would have last this long without his character and the energy the actor put in it.

What is this programme? Is it a comedy? It's not funny at all, like not even a bit. Listening to the main character moan and complain all the time makes me angry. Jesus this programme is so bad. I hate it
