Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

Griff Lees Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

Michael Roberts This is something special. Feels like a stage play, with long shots and slow pacing. The performances from Steve Buscemi and Louis CK are truly outstanding. Awkward, achingly difficult to watch, but really outstanding. No trite feel-good resolution here, just a voyeuristic study of the darkness that oozes from the heart of man.

Brankica952 I never saw anything like this in American shows. It is brilliant. Greatest writing, even better acting. Cast is amazing, every character is so different and so true. I would never think that Louis CK would write something like this. Maybe not for everyone, but everybody should watch it.

wachberg it is the best piece of original American culture i have come across in a very long time. it is fantastically written and stunningly executed. all in very reduced style; fresh, unexpected, taking dramatic twists. one episode starts with a twelve minute, stationary camera shot of a woman above sixty and your eyes are glued to the screen. it reminded me of a monologue within Bergman's's 'persona', but for me even exceeds by being rougher and more reduced.Louis ck created a new streetcar named desire, yet while there is enough tragedy all over the script, humour lurks through from all angles. the material is so dense that you won't be bored watching it twice immediately. actually it helped me to see more of the funny little things Louis so elegantly spreads in between the drama.i like Louis ck as a comedian, but i now LOVE him as a serious actor and film maker. surprisingly enough this mini serious catapults him among the very best directors|actors in America. an amazing, amazing piece of art.

adilmahsan Unfortunately, there is this limit of 10 which I don't think can capture how exception this series truly is... It isn't excellent, I'd say it's exceptional... Extraordinary... I have watched a lot of movies and TV series from 1920's to date, and it's very rare to come across something that is so wonderful... Think Treasure of Sierra Madre... It's that exceptional...This would probably be the only TV series for which I can honestly say, it feels like someone's heart really went into this... You can feel that this is a product of love...It's probably one of the best pieces of television I have ever seen and I am looking forward to seeing the sources of Louis CK's inspiration... Because the things that inspired him must have been truly awesome to yield such an amazing result...The writing is great, the acting is exceptional, this could be used in how one defines "a stellar cast", exceptional performances by all involved...What really gets me is how heartfelt it was... I don't think I've ever seen any television series before this one which managed to capture certain aspects of life... This series is an excellent portrayal of those aspects of life... It's comedic, tragic, realistic and a lot more... I can't quite find the words that I would like to describe what it portrays but I can say this, in case you enjoyed some of the more introspective moments of Breaking Bad where you got to certain aspects of life, you will almost certainly fall in love with this TV series... I would recommend this to anyone who is capable of recognizing and appreciating something truly wonderful and beautiful when he/she sees it...
