FeistyUpper If you don't like this, we can't be friends.
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Ella-May O'Brien Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
darbski ***SPOILERS*** That's what I said, folks. There ain't NO Bo here, just regular looking people doing their regular jobs of trying to clean up the mess that us get ourselves into. Not that I'm sympathetic to the criminals they try to catch. They're human too, just not the kind of human any of us want around because they kill people. THIS is where Joe Kenda, and the police force he served on come in. There episodes show - as well as possible - how difficult it can be to find, and stop these killers before they kill again, and the way it takes away from their family life. Joe himself does the telling of these stories, and his matter-of-fact presentation leaves him at the top of the Cop Show heap. Right along with "The First 48", this program will take you through what it typically takes to handle the normal operations of a Robbery-Homicide division, and how they interact with other divisions within their departments. Yup, that's right. This show always gives credit where it is due. To the Uniform Cops, as well. This is one of the best ever made, and I must recommend it to those who are (as I am) sick of the preening pretties who populate network "police shows". This one's a 10+.
jkthomas-87336 Seems like all of his crime situations revolve around African Americans...and I'm not one to play the race card but what's the deal? Some time ago, I noticed this and stopped watching his shows. Then about a year later, I started recording his shows again because I sort of forgot why I wasn't watching them and lo and behold, here we go again. Maybe its because he lived in a certain area that happened to include an African American population, but upon doing my homework, found out that his crime solving was done in Colorado Springs. The ethnic diversity in that area has an African American population of 5%. Apparently, per Wiki, he hand picked the crimes that he thought would be interesting to air and I have to wonder, what he's trying to accomplish.
ruracingde I came across this show completely by mistake one night, and became my #1 Crime Show! The almost dry humor quotes from Joe: My my my, I like crazy and much more is what caught my attention to this show Homicide Hunter.Ambition and curiosity molded this 70's College Graduates after starting with the CSPD as Lt Joe Kenda. Taking several years he quickly rose in the Homicide Department. The candor of Lt Joe Kenda who's work for over 20+ years solving over 400+ cases reminds us when a life is taken they will never be back. Fighting the network, he did not want a show you read the words of the show's writers. Unscripted and in his own words, you get the real now retired "Joe Kenda".
anglpets I came across this show completely by mistake one night, and I'll admit I'm kind of hooked on crime shows. I want to start off to say that I've NEVER wrote a review for any TV show and given it a 10/10 before. I'm writing this review so I can encourage others to watch, and to make sure this show doesn't get cancelled! HAHA! I'll do a quick summary for you of the show without any spoilers of course, although it would be extremely hard for me to give you any spoilers since every episode is different. You're following Lt Joe Kenda who's worked as a homicide detective for over 20+ years and has solved over 400 (approx) cases. What I love about this show is Lt Joe Kenda will tell you exactly what happened and you follow along almost on the edge of your seats along with him as he tries to solve the murder of the person(s). Lt Joe Kenda is a very forward straightlaced older gentleman who tells it like it is! He doesn't cry, get angry, yell or anything like that, he stays VERY monotone throughout each and every episode with the occasional witty remark/joke. This definitely ISN'T like any other crime show out there... It's WAY better! I can assure you this isn't anything like Dateline or 20/20 where they just tell you the story. Some of the stuff can be "scary" for anyone under the age of 14, so I'd definitely not recommend this for anyone under that age. Because even though some scenes are reenactments, it can definitely scare a youngster. But to just wrap everything up here, if you're looking for a new type of crime show THIS IS IT! Definitely take my word on it and commit to watching at least 1 episode. Because after 1 episode, I have a feeling you'll continue to watch it. I've got a lot of my family and friends hooked on this show! LOL!
