Clevercell Very disappointing...
Protraph Lack of good storyline.
Glucedee It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
Donald Seymour This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
anonymousking-19171 I would have given a 10/10 rating to this show only if this new series of He-Man would have reached its conclusion.I haven't seen the first series of the show or to be more precise, I tried but couldn't instead I preferred to reminiscence my childhood by watching the latter and improved series again. The Season 1 keeps you hanging but the second season of this series just takes you on another new level...It was really unfortunate that the creators had to discontinue the series. Still it's very much worth watching and feels like the Original Fantastical World of the HEROES and THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE.
Paul Magne Haakonsen I grew up on the 1980's cartoon with "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" and I enjoy essentially everything about this franchise. So when they decided to rekindle the franchise in 2002, after having left off with "New Adventures of He-Man", I was more than excited. And the two seasons that managed to be made in 2002 and 2003 were living up to my expectations and then some. They had managed to capture the magic and essence of the 1980's animated series to the very heart of it all, but they had also managed to evolve the franchise. This evolution took the new animated series in a more mature direction, without it becoming unsuitable for the younger viewers still. While the animation and drawing style deviates from the original series, then it is still quite enjoyable. And it was refreshing to see the changes made to the character designs and the Eternia universe as a whole. The episodes are enjoyable to watch and the story is a nicely told story that progress well throughout the course of the episodes. There is a good continuation throughout the entire series. If you enjoyed the 1980's animated series of "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe", then you will most definitely also enjoy the 2002 revival of the franchise. It was just a shame that the series didn't continue for more than two seasons. And the best part about this 2002 series, like the original 1980's series, is that it can be watched again and again. And it is more than well-deserving a place in the collection of any fan of "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe".
crap8 If you loved the old He-man then this show will appeal to you. It's got all the same characters, but the character development and plot is crisper. There is more internal conflict. And more inter character relationships. This series is filled with drama between the characters you loved in the 80's. And the animation looks better. Personally, I don't think the way the fights are animated, a sort of cheap dragon ball z type reuse of the same 'flying' shots over and over again. It's not bad, it just gets old if you watch them too often. But over all it's really quite enjoyable. Since this post is referring to the pilot movie in particular. I must say it's a great story that was never told in the original series. It tells how Skeletor came to be. And how he got that cute skeletal face of his. It give backround that you've been dying to know since the early 80's. It's worth watching for that alone. ANd it tells how Prince Adam first became He-man. Which was also left out of the 80's show. Watch it. You will not be disappointed.
Doc_ock_4mugen He-man and MOTU 2002 Version awakens nostalgic feelings on those who were fans of the original 1983 He-man and MOTU. The show is really well made and has a great cast of Voice Actors and Actresses. The characters are mostly 98% similar to their 1983 counterparts with a few exceptions of course. Fans of the original He-man and MOTU might find a few references to the original series like the show's Intro Speech by Adam, Cringer's pose in the Cringer/Battlecat Transformation. The show is a bit more action packed than it's '80s counterpart. Skeletor was fearsome back then now he's a force to be reckoned with. Now you can see the difference between Adam and He-man. Some characters have gotten more important than before like Teela. Other characters have lost their chemistry like Orko and Man-At-Arms, and I liked their chemistry. A few things that are missing from the original are the theme song which is etched into my mind, He-mans echo(Thank goodness it's gone because it was annoying sometimes) and the Morals at the end. But nonetheless it's one great show for He-man Veterans and Newcomers alike. I only wish that Cartoon Network could show back to back episodes of He-man the 1983 and the 2002 versions...
