MoPoshy Absolutely brilliant
Matrixiole Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Kitty_XPryde I've just seen episode 6 of this show and it's going to be the last one I'll see. The show started out great, the pilot and the next 1-2 episodes were engaging and I was really interested in how the story was going to unfold. However, as it went on I found myself getting less and less interested as the plot was becoming ridiculous, the dialogue made me cringe, the acting was atrocious (looking at you, Polaris, with your flamboyant speech-making and posing) and the characters were just dull. Now, I've been able to watch shows that contain some of these elements and still enjoy them. But...My biggest problem with the show is the choice of focus on the Von Strucker parents. Who thought it would be a good idea to make a show about mutants and then put two incredibly boring human characters (whose only job in the show is to look worried and try to stop their kids from using their powers) as the protagonists? I mean honestly, Blink joins the Mutant Underground in the first episode as a young mutant on the run from the law... Why didn't they just make her the main character, her story seems to be the only one that's interesting anyway. Or just focus on the Von Strucker kids who have to run away from home and leave their parents behind. Maybe make the parents side characters. Honestly, if I'm watching a show about mutants, the last thing I want in it is two unbelievably boring humans calling the shots. The show had a lot of potential and I'm really sorry that the showrunners decided to go in this direction.
gp-20141 I do not know how I should feel about this. I guess, I´ve seen worse und worst und this is not so bad. I decided to watch it on a hunch and I do not regret having done so, but there are some things going wrong here. The teenie storylines of Andy and Lauren, yeah, I get those, they are just teens, some things I just overlook, when it comes to them, but not the parents. I´ve watched, what now, three episodes and I am not satisfied with what I am watching. The father is just not credible, 20 years a prosecutor and he changes to a totally-ok-with-this gullible fugitive over night, just because he loves his family, so a change like that should just be- -what? obvious? It is not, not after 20 years of ruthless prosecution! And the mother? I don´t know who wrote her, but her actions and reactions are often horrifically moronic and annoying. Whoever wrote her part, did not do the show a favor. Other than that, the acting is mostly decent and the mutant abilities and cgi do not overwhelm. It is interesting to see the mutants generally interact, not just in action scenes, I do like that, even though some lines are cheesy. Someone who has been hunted and discriminated all his life, will not just say "yeah, I´ve done some stupid things out of love too" after yet another incredibly moronic move Caitlin pulled in the third episode jeopardizing the whole underground hq. A grown up woman sleeps with a kitchen knife on a sofa but is still in doubt when she has to haul @ss and get the f... away from her brother´s house? Instead she decides to stay over the night and still has not made up her mind to just get her kids and run when two leaders of the underground operation show up telling her "if we can find you, so can others"? Who wrote this episode? Can someone tell me who wrote this plainly horrifically moronic character? He should be sued because he is ruining every shred of credibility the show has. Dramatic build-up and inner conflicts and loyalties and taking risks because of them, yes that I get, but not when it goes overboard on blatant stupidity. I would have given the show more than six stars, but moron Caitlin just ruins it sometimes and that is poison for an action / sci fi / fantasy series.
rockafella-7 Good to watch a marvel series where they mention the X-men. The fight between men and mutants continues. Good first series looking forward to the next
olllli + One nice scene every 3-4 episodes. + Thunderbird! No (zero!) progression in story.Repetitive throughout.Every single actor is allowed one single facial expression & mood throughout the show. And most of the time it's Angst.Painful dialog every 2nd line. Over-exposition every 3rd.No suspense whatsover.Repetitive throughout. No involvement in characters/lack of sympathy.Characters switching from overpowerfull to powerless all the time ("A dog sized spider robot? Too bad we only have one mutant who can tear apart stuff with telekinesis, one who can crush stuff with telekinesis, and one who can tear holes in space. #sad")Bad, bad editing. Especially in closeup dialog scenes: characters who are filmed from behind/over the should almost always suffer from a complete mismatch of spoken words vs. facial movement. Well, at least in that last episode I just watched.Super uninterresting and uninvolving subplots, like 'dat latino drug cartel.Repetitive throughout.Too bad :(
