Synopsis

Detective Raimy Sullivan is stunned when a voice suddenly crackles through her father’s old, long-broken ham radio – it’s Frank Sullivan, somehow transmitting over the airwaves and through the decades from 1996. Separated by twenty years, father and daughter have reunited on a frequency only they can hear, but can they rewrite the story of their lives without risking everyone they love?

Clevercell Very disappointing...
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Josephina Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
Jenni Devyn Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
sophieriley I watched all the episodes of Frequency on Netflix. I found them very entertaining. I liked the plot the actors and binged all episodes in three days I thought this was one of the best things I watched on TV this summer I wish it had been on one of the regular stations I think it would have been renewed CW made a bad mistake not renewing and giving it a better time to watch. I think I missed it because it competed with something else on main stations I only found it on Netflix when a relative suggested I try it he said it was good I agree I it was excellent
slagman5-1 I am a huge fan of the movie, so thought about giving this show a shot. I felt the way they tried to mix things up was interesting, but a lot of things really hold this show back. First of all, it's the cast. The Riley Smith who plays Frank Sullivan doesn't seem a good fit in my opinion. And no, I'm not comparing him to Dennis Quaid. Mainly I found it very hard to sympathize with him. The entire time he acted like a junky. And every time he spoke he seemed like he lacked confidence. He did not at all feel convincing to me that he was in law enforcement. That fact alone made it kind of hard for me to feel immersed into the show.Peyton List playing Raimy Sullivan might be the strongest part of the show, but in a way that might actually be a bad thing because whenever she has scenes with Lenny Jacobson who plays Gordo, it really just exaggerates just how terrible of an actor Lenny Jacobson is. I don't intend to be mean, maybe it's not his fault, but it's pretty painful every time he has any screen time. And if half of the main duo being completely not convincing wasn't bad enough, I found that the writing seems to be all over the place. Sometimes I find some of the things they do or some of the ways they tried to change up the original story kind of clever (not meaning better than the original, not in the slightest, but clever in that they found a way to deliver the scene without looking like an exact copy of the source), while other times, like in the dialog between the mother and father in the second episode, it seems very contrived. Now I admit I've only watched the first three episodes, I intend to at least finish the first season, but it seems to be getting worse with each episode rather than better, but I'll still give it a chance. If it improves in the later episodes I will definitely come back to revise this review. But as of right now, I am finding this series very mediocre. And that's not comparing it to the movie, which was excellent. If I compared the two, this would simply be terrible in comparison.
Britt Wow what a great series, I love it.The first episode was so exciting. I've watched the whole season in 2 days. I think everybody is way too negative about this. Even after the plot twists i wanted to watch the rest of the episodes. This is one of the best series I've seen. A combination of tension, humor and love.I really hope for a season 2, it is my favourite series!
ElessarAndurilS I just finished streaming Season 1 of Frequency and I really don't get the complaining about the time shifts, I thought the story was great SciFi! Daughter talking to her dead dad 20 years in the past, working together to solve a crime and with each change to the past a subsequent change to the future in each episode making each one a thrill ride. Maybe watching it with a week between episodes made the time shifts and affects hard to follow, but while streaming over 4 days it was easy, and quite enjoyable. Even with the ending in the finale, they made a lot of mistakes but discovered that Robbie was the real killer, not his dad. While his dad killed only his mother, but confessed to the others, then BAM back to just his wife and Robbie blamed for the others but the time line still basically as it was in the pilot, but with improvements! Raimy gets to know her dad Frank, gets her mom back, her best friend is a lawyer. Sure she still lost her dad, but they got 15 years more of good family life together... but now of course the radio is broken and Robbie is stalking her mom in her modern day. I thought Season 1 stood well on its own, but am hoping they don't dump it because of ratings dropping off. Maybe the medium is the key, as a streaming show I thoroughly enjoyed it!
