Steinesongo Too many fans seem to be blown away
Murphy Howard I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Calum Hutton It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
usbooks1234 Does anyone know why Schanke left the show? I have tried to research this on the internet but could not find anything. I was just curious and thought maybe someone else knew something else about it. I just started watching this show recently and am up to the part where Det. Schanke is leaving. Anyone else think this show is similar to Moonlight? I like them both. I especially like the way Nick remembers times past and it shoots back and forth. But I do wish there had been more episodes of Forever Knight. Perhaps there is a web site dedicated to this show, I will have to check it out. If anyone is interested, there is a pretty good one for Moonlight, it has entries from Beth's journal.
mazalhamidbar I never even knew about this show until after it was long gone from network. Since then I have seen most if not all of the episodes on SciFi as re-runs. It was an excellent show, particularly with its rigid structure which almost always exhibited a nuanced parallel between the present and the past (usually, but not always, Nick's past). Many have said that this show was the inspiration for a lot of "Angel" (which I also loved) and they are correct. One thing that Forever Knight had that Angel didn't was having the title character kissing and even having sex with numerous women. Finally ... I realize this is terribly shallow of me, but virtually all of the women Nick was with had brown eyes and long brown hair. Being a woman with brown eyes and long brown hair, I loved that!
billytravels Forever Knight may be in the top 10 worst pieces of crap on the tube; a great example of government supported entertainment and Canadian content requirements.Furthermore the favorable reviews on this page regarding this program are obvious works of fiction and likely the work of an employee or hanger-on of this show. Or maybe vampire freaks love anything with fangs regardless of quality. If you have seen this program you would understand. It sucks! This "false reviewing" trend seems to plague other crummy Canadian programs as well. Liars! Shame on them!
midnite101 Forever Knight is a reminder that a decade ago, television shows used to have charisma, good writing, quality acting and originality. It is about a 700ish vampire, ex-knight and now police officer, Nicholas de Brabant. His greatest wish is to become mortal, and although as we see more and more of his life (his past often seen through flashbacks) his "death wish" makes less and less sense, the quest for mortality is fun to watch. Of course Forever Knight had it's flaws as well, but they can be easily overlooked.I do not agree with those who say the last episode was a disappointment. In my opinion, the show seriously needed the cruel, unhappy ending - without it, the relationship between the two main characters would've seemed just another Hollywood type boring love story, where everybody who really deserves it gets a better life at the end.
