Reviews

Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
KnotStronger This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Isbel A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Boodwayne Altought the cinematography and the editing is amazing, most of the situations involve muslims captors and caucasians captives looking for strength by praying; to me it feels extremely biased because it looks like religious propaganda. Anyway if you get pass that it's a couple of interesting stories involving dumb people who thinks their faith will save their life from the most dangerous countries and when they get caught they beg government for help. That's pretty much it.
mr_diken It is informative albeit the info is too selective as I will describe below. Its low pace make you bored sometimes. Besides, the transition periods are kept longer than needed and this increase the feeling of boredom. Its reenactments are very realistic and needs to be appraised. However, there is a very strong bias implicit in the selection of incidents. I am normally not and don't want to be a politically-driven critic but here, the producers seem to act politically-driven. Please look at all the episodes -- All are "muslim"-driven atrocities. I, like most muslims would do, condemn these acts. Yet, making such a documentary but selecting events with solely one-type of perpetrator casts doubt about the intention of those producers. This at least funs the flames. I protest.
Ladiloque Boh Based on the 1st Episode. I don't really know what I expected when deciding to give it a try. I'm not into docu-dramas: I can't stand the interviews and the lots of "Oh so bad", "Oh so sad", "Oh so huge", "Oh so dangerous", etc...I guess that if you're into this sort of things "a la REAL-TV" where everyone's (predictable) perspective (slowly) recounts the development of the episode's story, you may enjoy it. Especially if the topic tingles you.But don't expect any high level analysis whatsoever: you'll get the depth the interviews will allow you to get. Furthermore, production value is very low: original footage, few (and as cheap as possible) reconstructions, interviews. Low standards boring television unless you're really interested in one of the stories (in which case you'll get just a sensationalistic introduction).
