... despite some prior negative reviews I found it well done, well-delivered and simply entertaining. For all those wanna-be historians: leave history to academics. This is entertainment. And as such well done. And PLEASE - not everything has to be compared to GOT! Just because there is some fantasy/mystic element doesn't mean GOT is the measure (which it is not after all)

As soon as I saw Zoe Wanamaker's name I realized that all was not as it seemed.
Britannia is an amusing take on history and has no pretensions of accuracy or any high falutin artistic aims.
I am finding it quite enjoyable and I cannot understand why so many reviewers are getting so bent out of shape about what they see as flaws in the series.

I loved it. It's upsetting to see the common critiques about the historical inaccuracy or similarities to Game of thrones. Maybe because of my ignorance of Celtic culture, I'm completely able to just enjoy the show and see what the producer/directors are trying to paint. as a period piece and fantasy genre lover, i don't Automically compare it to the last show I saw with castles on hbo.
