svenfuhrmann For me Titus Welliver is the perfect match to play the modern asphalt cowboy Bosch. I Love this kind of a hard boiled detective fiction and cant wait for the next season!

Bot_feeder Acting good, stories ok, although fairly routine crime stories. However, any dram a where I can pretty easily follow the plots and remember the names of the characters I tend to feel like is just a little too easy on my brain.

Brighton Dude I've only watched the first episode of the first series but I won't be watching anymore.The main character in this, Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) is what teenage boys mistakenly believe is what a "real man" is like but to all others he just a ludicrous fantasy of what it is to be male.Think of every cliché you can about this, it will turn up. Bosch is an individual who likes to do things his own way. Poor Bosch is constrained by irritating rules and regulations in the Police (no doubt created by Democrat voting pen pushers). Bosch can't even gun people down in a back alley without a damn court inquiry. Why can't all these little people who think rules matter just let Harry Bosch do his thing and go after criminals without these constraints?Really, it is that bad.For me it reached peak absurdity when Bosch spots a member of the press in disguise at a crime scene. Bosch grabs this guy and nearly brings him to the ground. He was just standing there. Any normal person would have just, eh, spoken to the guy.In addition to the awfulness of the lead character all the other characters are absurd 1970s clichés as well and there is terrible music used in any scenes with any sort of tension.I kept wondering if the whole thing is some kind of comedy and I hadn't noticed. Maybe it is?I have given it two stars because there are worse dramas around than this.
