Synopsis

Two dimwitted teenagers discuss TV, heavy-metal music, nachos, and trying to "score with chicks." When the duo aren't sitting on the couch, they try to pick up girls at the local convenience store, slack off at school, or wreak havoc while working at a burger joint.

Reviews

Stoutor It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Tymon Sutton The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
rennyraccoon It looks stupid but trust me on this one when I say that this is a comedic genius. Especially when they react to music videos or other shows on MTV, like "Jersey Shore" or "16 & Pregnant".One of my favorite episodes is when Beavis & Butt-Head were watching a Benjamin Franklin documentary on PBS. So they go out during a lightning storm to perform the key on the kite trick. They get electrocuted & while in the hospital everyone blames modern (At least it was modern at the time) music for them injuring themselves. This show tackles a lot of real life settings & problems to show that society isn't as perfect as we thought. As for negatives, there are a few jokes in the later seasons that I shook my head at. & Mike Judge even regrets a few jokes that he has mad in the past. The creator of Beavis & Butt-Head Mike Judge, is also the creator of Daria & King of the Hill. So if you like those then this is a perfect show to watch.
reddragonhero17 MTV is a network I never liked. Everything steering its targeted audience (teenagers) in the opposite direction they are supposed to go in life by just taking advantage of their whims. The bogus disclaimer at the beginning of each episode does very little to convince anyone with a genuine brain that this is "mature" entertainment. In fact, what gets shown is anything but funny and I can't help but ponder what teens are getting out of this."Oh this is cool! I'll try it out myself" No really, two dumb teens obsessing over TV, Nachos, "scoring" with chicks, and doing anything to ease their boredom with destructive actions, that is not my idea of humor. Adding insult to injury, the creator Mike Judge claims that he is criticizing society, but in reality he's just adding to the problems (fighting fire with fire). Sorry but if you are going to criticize at least show realistic consequences rather than glorify it. There were already far more funny and more intelligent comedies than this.
Jackpollins Mike Judge made many gems like King Of The Hill and Office Space. But way before any of those were released, he made his greatest gem of all time, Beavis And Butthead. The story of two boys around 18 or 19 who still can't pass high school whose lives are pointless is hilarious without being over the top, or ludicrous. Considering it is about two of the dumbest people alive, it's an extremely smart show. I like the fact that these guys are so care-free they don't care about their well-being. For example, they live in a dump of a house, and whenever one get hurts the one who's not hurt starts laughing, and then the one who's hurt starts laughing, too. They don't care if they never finish high school. Their only goal is to have sex before they die. That's what makes them strangely delightful. This is one of the best shows that the 90's created. It is genuinely funny and very smart, but not too outrageous, and rather than being unlikable (which you think they would be), the two characters are strangely delightful. A truly great show I think you should check out.
aaronkavo-1 Man, I loved this show as a kid and still do today! It seems that back in the 90's, Beavis and Butt-head were blamed for everything. Causing kids to set fire, teaching kids to sniff paint thinner, stealing credit cards and getting in trouble with cops. This was back in the 90's, when people didn't have Grand Theft Auto to blame all the world's problems on. Something that made me mad, in November, 2005, MTV released a three disc DVD set called "Beavis and Butt-head: The Mike Judge Collection.". The DVD set claimed "Director's Cut", but guess what? They WERE actually cut! Put's a whole new definition on "Director's Cut", doesn't it? Another weird thing, the episodes on the disc's aren't in chronological order. A thing that annoyed me, "Way Down Mexico Way" isn't featured on the disc, and I loved that episode. I say, buy the DVD's for 25 euro or less (that's, 39 USD, 40 AUD, 19 Pounds, 39 CAD, etc...). The show rocks, end of story.
