Alicia I love this movie so much
Sexyloutak Absolutely the worst movie.
Voxitype Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
OBXconsumer Excellent to a point that is - until Season 7. Okay, you can be the judge of this.Army Wives - all 7 seasons - is now available on Netflix. If you like soap operas, then this is a 10. I originally tried watching it after buying Army Wives all 7 seasons at a garage sale for $1.00 but when I tried to watch it, I just got through season 1 and the rest of the discs would not play, so I was delighted to see this on Netflix (2016). As this is an old series, then let's just say the cat is out of the bag regarding cast changes, etc., but I did not know any of this when I watched it. I was enthralled all the way thru season 5 and they had a good story line going, which I was actually interested in, until it was obvious that the writers had started changing the original script to accommodate all of the actors leaving the show. They tried to add new characters to keep it going but it was too little too late and resulted in too much sad stuff and not enough to balance it out. I could not really connect with the new Army Waves once the original wives started bailing. I saw a lot of people took to the internet to try to keep this show from being canceled but - alas - there was nothing to really save. Ironically, the Army Wives characters could not give the support to each other in real life that they portray on screen. That being said - you can still enjoy seasons 1 thru 6 and make up your own ending, or watch season 7 and deal with that. It is a real tear jerker and is well worth the watch. The acting is excellent. I won't get into the political aspects except to say maybe they even stopped believing their own hype - I am a soldier and want to be at the forefront of the war, etc. Most people do it for the educational opportunities and a pay check and get out as soon as possible in one piece if possible. As for the character, Jeremy, the one flaw was that, if this Army Wife mother had really known her own son, she would have told him a resounding NO! - but you have to watch to find out.
PartialMovieViewer Army Wives is one of the funniest comedies on TV. How do I start? The cast is an excellent concoction of whimsical female comedians and veteran laugh-generating-writing machines (the authors). I honestly do not see how these guys can get anything done. Preparing for a show has to be a laugh a second. I know, if I was part of this superb team I would be chuckling so bad my fingers would never be able to hold onto a pencil long enough to finish a line. Let's face it these people are true comedic pros. Whenever these women are on, I curl up with a cup of 'funny coffee', (my special name for the coffee I drink during this show – ONLY), and from the beginning to the ending of each episode I laugh so hard, I can't even stand up straight. You know…giggles always affect me that way. Oh no – wait - oops!!! I was just told this show was not a comedy…well golly…talk about yanking the rails right out from under my caboose. In that case, I better pay closer attention to this show from here on out.
littlegb2800 I liked the show and am happy David got adopted by the Burtons and Roxie is pregnant, but please hire some better writers. This show is not as good as it was before.I do not like the whole situation with Hector and Gloria. Why does the couple of color have to have so many issues.Trevor's reaction to Héctor hitting that guy for touching Gloria was unrealistic and out of character, he knows he would have done the same thing. Also, no one would foolishly put their marriage in danger not listening to her husband like Gloria did and working in the kind of environment she works in. Why did you change the way the show came on?
Leonardo Liao So okay, the show is actually fine for people who does not know any details about the military. The military fanatics should have a field day with the mistakes made on the screen...but not gonna go there and will talk about the stories themselves. One word...unbelievable, and while it is pleasant to see all the beautiful women in the show, the stories are kinda too nice?First of all, most the military wives i know were army brats themselves, and i have never seen them (even those i know very well) act the way these women do. They're as proud as their husbands, and would never show their vulnerable sides the way these women do. Sure, sometimes the pressure takes its toll and they lose the fight, but not like these.Serving your country is hard, both on the servicemen and women and on their spouses...but they're being portrayed as normal people in this show. Normal people whose never been touched by the pride and honor of the military way of life. And that's the part i find sad about this show.
