Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!

It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

The trick was to make a gutsy but inexperienced and introspective character come alive -- and from the opening screens to the end Helen Baxendale did the job. There are lots of scenes of Cordelia thinking and worrying her way through the problem she is investigating. This could have dragged, but the tension is well maintained; this should please lovers of classic British detection.
