KnotMissPriceless Why so much hype?
GazerRise Fantastic!
Voxitype Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
Dana An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
youngedwin-87441 Love the show, it's simply on another level,i mean who could ever think about a war between old and new gods??? The characters really do know how to bring out their roles and one is able to relate with them.Simply amazing and totally worth your time.
iion-04932 I believe that this tv show is too boring. Waste of time!
terrachild-134-804757 I'm reading American Gods, after watching the show.... Sooo Good! The tele-series is sliced diced and put through the compactor and mainly focuses on Shadow blindly following Wednesday around and the plight of the walking corpse, Shadow's wife... I enjoy the drama of the show and and Wednesday, some how becomes increasingly attractive, working on you as he does in the book... Great visuals! Do the Show first then expand on it with the books! The book, I'm only on the first, builds this imaginatively visually rich world that flows through time, culture, history, myth and legend... You see this world through Shasow's eys and those other Character's who's stories are narrated by Mr Ibis... Amazingly well written and so easy to read...
Smoreni Zmaj I read the book back in 2004, so I'm not sure to what extent show follows its story-line and how much of the script is new. Some things are obviously added because they follow modern Hollywood trends and push through politically colored messages. The most obvious example is the choice of a black actor for the role of Shadow Moon, which opens the possibilities for the scene of lynching and similar politicization. But although politicization in adaptations of books, which originally don't bother with it, is really going on my nerves, these scenes are quite nicely integrated into the original story and, in my opinion, they more contribute to Gaiman's universe than they they turn the series from his way. Story is original, weird and holds attention. Show is visually fantastic and choice of actors and their performances are excellent. I can't say I'm thrilled, but I really like this show very much and I rated it same as the book.8/10
