GamerTab That was an excellent one.
Claysaba Excellent, Without a doubt!!
Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Caryl It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.
pf-lawson I read through some of the reviews and it appears in this last 2 years, the reviews changed as people watched it a second time. The show did run for 11 seasons, so there must have been enough people who liked for it to last that long. Perhaps in today,s world of reality TV, so much violence and immorality on TV, we are wishing for a better world and TV could lead the way. In my younger time, our parents did tell us about sex before marriage, drinking, and even smoking. We didn't have as many problems concerning drugs, in fact I didn't even know about drugs till later in my life. I came from a big family of six children and we had family meals, and get togethers, even as we grew older. I have seen such a difference in family and children in just the last ten years, children carrying cell phones, graphic pads, etc, actually becoming mini adults. Thinking they can run their own lives, not take advice from their parents and so on. Perhaps we could be a better world if we got back to real family values, as they tried to do in 7th Heaven.
marithern I've been watching all the episodes in a row and I like some of the actors /characters more than others. Matt was fairly consistent and I really liked him. Same with Eric--what a great father. It is refreshing to see abstinence preached instead of everyone rolling into bed on first dates, like most other TV shows. No one is perfect-- that's true even with moral people. Just because you try to live a moral life doesn't mean you always succeed. Id rather my children--if I have any--watched this program than most of the crap and even animated series on TV today. Keep Modern Family. Give me the Camdens. True most families aren't like the Camdens but that doesn't mean the world wouldn't be a better place if they were.
blitzsoccerstar11 I went through the reviews, and yes, i guess mine is biased cause i love the show, but i got a little peeved. You here people complain or say how TV these days is filled with sex, drugs, backstabbing, and other loads of crap, but heres this show, trying to demonstrate how virginity isn't something to be given away lightly, drugs=no no, and family comes first. So yes, while maybe it isn't realistic how comfortable the kids are with talking about sex, or how every issue seems to be resolved in one episode, would you rather watch this with your family, or Jersey Shore and Pretty Little Liars and Secret Life of the American Teenagers? And Uh *SPOILER* they aren't perfect! Mary gets pregnant out of wedlock and Simon ends up with piercings at some point. Matt smoked early on in the episode And for those who took offense from watching this show, they NEVER said smokers and druggies were always bad people. As for the religion aspects, people still do go to church every Sunday in the REAL world,i personally don't find it that heavy and this is a Christian, FAMILY themed show, and if you have a problem with either, don't watch.Sometimes the acting is lacking (though is it even close to being the only show to do so), but what big name actor(ress)s had or has the guts to do something like this then or today?
jawm This is one of very few story lines that brings in a healthy, moral dynamic to the everyday life. So many times, a pastor is perceived as having the perfect life and perfect children which is not the case. We all face the same types of situations but this show brings in the perspective of a faith driven home that deals with problems with God as a solution. I know that all shows usually come to an end but hope that another series can be created that offers a family oriented program like 7th Heaven. We really do need to be able to offer a program that families can watch with their children.
