Josephina Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
aboutthetruthmedia This movie is anti white. Imagine bring out a movie about Black men not being able to jump? Who runs Hollywood? why are movies like this allowed to be made and make White people be intimidated playing sports like basketball? how come the producers have never apologized? How come Wesley Snipes has never apologized? How come Woody Harrelson never apologized?Hate Hollywood. Hate how racism against White is "permissible." Never forget offensive movies like this. The NBA is full of Blacks but then they make a movie like this. Originally basketball was a White man's game and they didn't need to slam dunk! (if you need to slam dunk -- no talent.)
snuten_st Hello guys. Im the back again. This time i seen the movie Grete White Man Cant Jumped. It was all good and all and i like a lot. My mum didn't like it as much as me did. And it was the good actor Wood Harelsen. He was grete as all ways, but it was goodies.I've have seen it with the mother of i and she loved it a lot, NOT! She hated the black guy. I think of her as the racist in my family. I liked it a lot. It was good. Western Sniper was good. He was the cool black guy with the really cool cap! I loved his cap. The cap was really cool! He also did have the cool shirt.Wood was good. His wife was hot and had nice breast. It was the nicest breast. And the basketball scenes was good. I liked it a lot. It was the cool basket and the cool black guy with the cap. It was cool music and cool slow effectes. It was a lot of racism that i didn't like bekaus im not the racist, but i like the black guy. The white guy give 3 black guys one dollar. Thanks for reeding and i want to say im am not that good at English. I like the movies in English but i have dysleksia and its hard to write in a langoege i am not familiar to. Good byers.
paul2001sw-1 'White Men Can't Jump' borrows from several well-worn movie genres: the con-trick movie, the sports movie, the odd-couple movie; and plays with racial and sexual stereotypes as well. But Ron Shelton's film, about a pair of basketball hustlers, buzzes with such energy and fizz that you really don't mind, and the cast led by Woody Harrelson (who plays a man frequently as stupid as he looks) and Wesley Snipes (a huckster with a day job) play off each other with aplomb. Moreover, there's a fundamental honesty behind the comedy: the film's treatment of racial subjects may be lightweight, but not false. There's even a fun soundtrack as a bonus; I found it an unexpected pleasure to watch.
Spikeopath After Billy Hoyle hustles Sidney Deane on the basketball court, Deane offers Billy a proposition about teaming up to hustle the courts of Los Angeles. They are a great team, they are in fact wonderful players, but egos and greed are sure to become a problem, oh and Billy has some rather unsavoury characters after him to return a debt he owes. Can the boys resolve their differences? Can they keep their devoted women happy? All will be revealed in White Men Can't Jump.White Men Can't Jump is a fine sports movie, offering up more than just a basic sport heart, it's funny, sly and really a rather effective piece of drama. The basketball scenes are very well handled by director Ron Shelton, with slow motion spins and beady drips of sweat glistening in the heat, and the chemistry between Woody Harrelson (Billy) and Wesley Snipes (Sidney) is first class, but really it's the power of Shelton's writing that makes this a most engaging picture (see also Bull Durham & the similarly undervalued Tin Cup). After following these two guys thru their very rocky relationship you get to a point where you feel that we are about to wander down formula road, but Shelton pulls a trick to make the final last quarter an excellent, none conformity piece of film, one that judging by the less than favourable rating on this particular site, has not been wholly appreciated. Shame that, because other than Rosie Perez doing her best to annoy the viewers to death as Billy's suffering girlfriend Gloria Clemente, White Men Can't Jump is one of the better sports movies of the 90s. 7.5/10
