snootsncoots As far as what passes for comedy these days, I thought this movie was pretty good. The characters were stereotypes of characters in corporate working life, of course over emphasized, but amusing. Satire is funny because there is a bit of truth to it.I really enjoyed this much more than I expected.
Terryfan To say this movie was the biggest waste of time in the history of motion pictures would be a huge understatement.Welcome To The Jungle is another try at mixing action and comedy together, it only works if you have the right cast and crew. This however does not have anything worth watching the only reason I watch this movie was because it had Jean-Claude Van Damme and "The Blacklist" Megan Boone. Now it took me three tries to watch it and from the start I knew I made the mistake watching this film. While it may have promising to it, the film has nothing to make it worth your time. While it may not be the worst movie I ever seen it is a very awful movie. The acting in the film is not even creditable it just becomes rather boring really fast.It makes you wonder if the writers were drunk when they wrote the story for this movie.Clearly this was meant to be a direct to video release and it just goes to show that Direct to video movies are getting a bad rap not all are bad just this one is just really bad.Welcome To The Jungle is just a fail try to mix action and comedy this is a example of what happens when you got a bad script and the characters being idiots.I give Welcome To The Jungle a 2 out of 10
derekmustachi This movie is strictly for people who enjoyed Office Space, Dumb & Dumber, Dodgeball, Ace Ventura, etc. and have the capacity to get over themselves. It's absolutely ridiculous, immature, and goofy like all of those other low brow comedies but with a way smaller budget and considerably less starpower. It's not a thinking mans movie and will never considered for an Oscar but I think anybody with common sense realizes that 5 minutes in. It's definitely not an instant classic either but people on this site are being way to hard considering what this is. All the acting is more than adequate for a screwball comedy and it has it's share of laughs and silliness. I'd recommend it for the people who just want be amused and entertained for a few hours by a little of absurdity.
Paul Magne Haakonsen "Welcome to the Jungle" was a fairly average run of the mill comedy, that offered very little of new material to the comedy genre that haven't already been seen in other movies.Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that "Welcome to the Jungle" is bad, nor was it super great. It was a mediocre movie that delivered what was expected from it, and the movie itself was entertaining enough for what it was.The story is about a group of workers sent out to a remote island for a survival course to improve efficiency back at the office. Of course things go awry and run out of control within a short time after arriving to the island. The comedy aspects of the movie were fairly subtle, and it is hardly the type of comedy that will have you laughing hard while tears streak down your cheeks. The comedy was well used at the right moments, and that made the movie worth sitting through. As for the characters in the movie, well, they were adequate. No one, aside from perhaps Phil (played by Rob Huebel) stood out as particularly memorable. But the people hired for the various roles were doing good enough jobs with their given characters and given the limitations of the script.I picked up this movie because of Jean Claude Van Damme, but weren't impressed with his role, nor with the screen time he was given."Welcome to the Jungle" is good enough for a lazy afternoon on the couch, but it is hardly a movie that you will make a return trip to watch multiple times over.
