Seriously, i don't remember a lot of normal or even funny conversations in this movie. actually this movie is NOT a comedy! its a drama movie! all the time people shouting and fighting over stupid things. it was so bad i almost wanted to leave the theatre in the middle of the movie which i usually never do. i don't remember much of the story but at least i remember there wasn't any story worth telling. just a glimpse into the life of a dysfunctional family where everyone is unhappy.

I really didn't like it. Maybe because it's a bit too close to the truth to be funny or maybe because it simply isn't that funny. Nice idea but it's so cringeworth seeing the good cast go through this painful script.

I think 'we' people that get this movie are over 40 (or around it) and are in a relationship with children! I read some of the reviews saying it was depressing, but we know that this is actually reality! Life happens when you are trying to make a life together with your significant other. It is not always peaches & cream. That is the way a rebellious 13 year old acts toward her mother & father and her little sister. That's how I was as a 13 year old. Parents don't always get along; it's one of the toughest goals to achieve in life - to be happily married! I commend & applaud the writers, the actors, and the directors for a job well done. This was hilarious at points and sad at others and always entertaining and kept my attention. Loved it!!

about a bad marriage. I originally thought this was a different movie and had high expectations...then ever so slowly I realized I simply MUST have gotten it wrong. I had to have mixed this movie up with another, an error in communication. My brain, eyes and ears paid the price for this egregious error. Nothing about this is realistic at all. If you're 40, you've more than likely scrapped that bad marriage somewhere in your 30s. It was excruciating to sit through just over 2hrs of this garbage. I want to take a guitar string and whip everyone in the face - including those irritating children. Whose children behave in the manner these two did? Everything was super exaggerated and ridiculous. What kids continue YELLING AT FULL VOLUME, SCREAMING AND BANGING on their locked parent's door after being told to stop??!! Multiple times! What teenage girl is perpetually angry, yelling, whiny and mean --even to her parents 24x7x365??? Oh wait, it's because she got her period....F*ck off, F*ck right the h3ll off. This movie is ridiculous and vulgar. Yes, more vulgar than me saying F*CK OFF to this movie. And oh yeah, F*ck off movie. I bought none of what was being sold here and honestly this is pretty much the polar opposite of 40. I wanted to be articulate and give a decent review but anger over the 2+hrs I lost watching this - AT WORK - has fractured my mind and this became a rant instead. Abhorrent, self-absorbed, pretentious POS.
