CheerupSilver Very Cool!!!
Plustown A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
Aiden Melton The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
krkemp This movie was very funny. I'm glad I didn't see the low rating on IMDb until after I had rented it. The movie continues to be funny from beginning to end. Ignore the reviews on here if you are looking to be entertained and have a good laugh! Eugene levy is very funny in this. Samuel L Jackson is great as usual. Definitely worth watching! I recognized Luke Goss from my younger days when he and his twin brother were in the pop duo Bros. Funny! Great movie for this genre. Reminded me of The In- Laws also. There is not too much violence which is good. It's lighthearted overall. Worth watching for sure. I think possibly the reason a movie like this gets a low rating is because there are too many critics out there. If a movie like this is entertaining that's all it needs to be I think.
Wizard-8 We've seen this basic story many times before, the wimp who is forced into the world of cops and criminals. This wouldn't matter if the results had been funny as intended, but the movie isn't. Jackson's hard-assed cop character doesn't have a likable edge that makes us root for him to succeed, and Levy's character is simply overdone when less would have been more. The various gags in the movie are very familiar as well, from Levy's motormouth character to jokes about flatulence.P.S. - If you must watch this movie, don't make the same mistake that I did and watch the TV print edited down so that it fits a ninety minute time slot with commercials. Some important information is obviously missing, resulting in several moments (like the pool scene) in the movie being somewhat incomprehensible.
policy134 Not really awful but one will always wonder what possessed the immensely talented Samuel L. Jackson and Eugene Levy to make this film together. Maybe it was some sort of a deal or perhaps even a dare.It is immensely familiar to see the opposites in buddy comedy territory but usually there is some kind of twist (think: Lethal Weapon or the original Odd Couple). The difference is in this case is that none of the characters are suicidal. This is not to say that I didn't enjoy some of the moments in here. Levy is incredibly good at playing the nebbish and of course Jackson could do his part in his sleep. There is even a little scene that references some of Jackson's previous work with regards to him using the F-word like he had some kind of reverse V-chip installed within him.Ultimately, this is a failed attempt. Even the villain is not all that evil. He seems rather pleasant, except for the fact that he is involved in criminal activity. So, if you absolutely don't have anything else to do, watch this. You will not die laughing but you will be mildly entertained.
FilmFanInTheHouse The Man (2005, Les Mayfield) A federal agent turns up dead and an hardcore undercover agent, known as Derrick Vann heads off to try and recover the stolen arms and find the killers. Andy Fiddler is an ordinary family man and a dentist, and is out heading to a conference, when he gets stuck in the same mess. Criminal Kane believes Fiddler is 'The Man' behind it all and offers him a gun. Vann spots him and drags him across town, with him posing as the actual 'Man'.When you first look at this film, you see an odd pairing. Eugune Levy is often a comedic actor and Samuel L. Jackson is more of a serious, hard-hitting actor. It was a risky move to make. The actors aren't the problem, as they both fit together very well. The problem is the script. It just isn't very funny. The jokes are very few, and rely more on sight gags. The story was OK, just for a comedy film, it was very disappointing. I gave it a 6, only because i enjoyed it, but then you would say that when you a fan of both Jackson and Levy.F***...Crying Out Loud - Andy Fidler (Eugene Levy)
