Cebalord Very best movie i ever watch
Baseshment I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
Megamind To all those who have watched it: I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do.
Griff Lees Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
Greg Polansky Don't listen to the haters, if you're in the mood for a decent teen/scary movie, this movie is great. It's well directed, the acting is pretty good, and the main girl is definitely charismatic. This wasn't so much a gory scary movie, but more of a teen movie dealing with scary devil stuff. The movie kept me engaged. Although it didn't break the mold of the scary movie, it did keep things interesting to the end. The ending is a bit of thinker too.Overall, well put-together movie and worth a watch. Kept me engaged throughout the movie, and the ending was satisfying. Really can't understand why people hate on it so much.
Nitzan Havoc As a Horror fan with strong preferences towards stories involving ghosts, haunting, exorcisms and other supernatural features - I've had high hopes for this film. The title, the poster, the short plot teasers, all pointed towards another great film like One Missed Call or The Exorcism of Emily Rose (combining teen life with haunting and possessions). Sufficing to say I did not get what I had hoped to get. The Haunting of Molly Hartley can be easily divided into two obvious parts. The first 60 minutes or so are an excellent Suspense film (with very little Horror). The build up is slow enough to keep you guessing and interested, yet not too slow to the point of being boring. The characters are interesting enough, albeit stereotypical Teen Flick characters. The sense of curiosity and thrill while trying to figure out what is real and what isn't is just what this sort of film requires. And then - a complete crash.Approximately one hour into the film we learn the overall conclusion, and it is so anticlimactic that I personally have lost all interest in seeing the actual ending. From the moment the unoriginal and not the least well thought of explanation is given, the frustration and disappointment made me so annoyed I almost turned the film off. Think of a runner tripping over a rock then falling off a cliff. It simply killed the story, along with any chance of this film being more than average (and I'm being very kind). The acting is professional, but not great. The cast does a good job playing the generic characters. Impressive, if this were a first year acting school assignment. Beyond that, the film simply isn't scary. A jump scare here and there, some blunt cheats (the bathroom mirror, chicks in bras, bad cellphone reception and other tricks that may have worked during the early 90's), one creepy shot with tons of make up and effects - and that's it. The suspense is there, but the horror isn't.All in all, I'd really enjoyed this film until the terrible second part began. The first part is easily a 7, the second a 3 at most, hence my overall rating of 4 (instead of 5. still too kind). Can't recommend it. Still going to watch the sequel, hoping for a salvation... Probably making a mistake.
atinder The Haunting of Molly Hartley (2008) I wasn't expecting much from this movie at all, with all the bad comment on this Site. I thought really bad, I was actually, it was not great movie, I don't think it was bad as people making it out. I liked the how started of with Bang and I didn't feel slow do, there also something going on, I wasn't bored however I did annoyed with far, Far, Far , Far to many fake dream scenes. One and only truly thing that hate in movies, I don't like, it when one fake dream scene in movie, Record breaking number of dream scenes in this movie. I thought the acting was really good for most of the cast, the plot was decent, the movie wasn't all that bad. I actually liked the ending was decent, I thought I been predictable ending, I was wrong there. This movies rely too much on the jump scares, that not scary, So fast you can't seen, if you blink at wrong time. 4 out 10
LittleLotti Before I get started you should know how easily scared I am of so-called "horror" films. I mean, some of the dumbest scary movies give me nightmares for days. This was no where near scary, suspenseful, or mysterious. The whole mystery is why can't Molly turn 18. Halfway through the movie you don't even care why. After watching this movie I could not believe it didn't go straight to DVD. The acting wasn't bad, it was the script and storyline. And the ending seemed like moments were missing. So the main reasons you should never watch this movie, no matter what the circumstances, are: 1. There is no originality 2. There's no feeling being portrayed to the audience. You're not afraid, empathetic, or even curious. It is so boring and detached. 3. They tried to make a twist, but it wasn't surprising or anything you couldn't guess. And the ending offers no resolve.Honestly, the scariest thing about this movie is that people actually went out and paid to see it. Made-for-TV movies are better than this huge waste of time. I beg you, don't watch it!
