Solemplex To me, this movie is perfection.

Mathilde the Guild Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
srdjan_veljkovic It has an interesting idea, a different take on the "masked hero/vigilante" theme. He's rich, but goes into the "hero business" out of boredom, rather than some higher purpose. He is not remarkable in any way, but has some success, mostly by way of his capable sidekick and smart (and very hot) secretary. He does good by doing bad and it kind of works. But, it's not fully realized/developed. His Chineese sidekick is difficult to understand most of the time. Cameron Diaz has a role which is not really explored, at least not to the extent others are. We never get why this smart, hot and capable woman, who is not young any more, wants to be a secretary. Even the jokes about her age don't work out. Cristoph Waltz's characters starts great, but at the end becomes silly and shallow. It is fun, but not very much so and not all the time. It is funny only sometimes - too little, since the the movie is silly, so there is no wisdom on insight to be gained here. It's an OK watch, but it leaves one with a feeling it could have been much more.
alindsay-al Now if anybody sees this film thinking it is a serious superhero film you will be disappointed and that is why the overall IMDb rating sucks. But if you watch this film as a spoof of super heroes then it will be funny. This shows the team of a rich playboy and karate expert team up to stop crime by committing crime and attempt to take down an established Villain. When Seth Rogan was announced as The Green Hornet some people were dubious, but he was a great choice and I think he is a hilarious and he truly fits the bumbling superhero idiot that he is meant to be and when compared to somebody like Will Ferrell I believe Rogan is dominant. The actor who plays Kato is an underwhelming actor but his character is pretty cool and his awesome action skills really provide the juxtaposition to Rogan and add to the partnership. Christophe Waltz is great as the villain and has some great lines that make him a great character and worthy against The Green Hornet also Cameron Diaz is decent in her role even though I think she was slightly underutilised. The District attorney was a bit disappointing as he only becomes a key character towards the end and I wish he was used throughout the film. The story wasn't the best part of the film as I believe the story was a bit all over the place and I don't believe it was a strength at all. A huge strength of the film was the script with Rogan and Waltz in particular thriving under this great script. The style was pretty good with some of the weapons and action scenes were good most of the time, but some shaky cam does make the style go down a bit. This is a pretty funny spoof superhero film that should be more appreciated.
OllieSuave-007 This is a below average superhero movie where Seth Rogan and Jay Chou star in the movie update to the classic TV series starring Van Williams and Bruce Lee as the masked crime fighting team.As with any superhero movie, there are plenty of fight scenes and alter-ego suspense. The special effects were quite good and the story is average, nothing too exciting or impressing about it. Jay Chou made a pretty good Kato with his serious and die hard attitude and his skillful martial arts moves. Seth Rogan made an awful Green Hornet - obnoxious, loud, annoying and unsympathetic. His gruff, raspy and incredibly irritating voice made me glad that Kato delivered him several good punches. Cameron Diaz looked like she was thrown in for good measure. When you end up rooting against the lead superhero, there's really not much enjoyment in this movie.Grade D-
MyraMovies Before watching this movie, I was completely unfamiliar with anything Green Hornet. I'd heard nothing good about the movie so I wasn't planning on watching it, but I found myself looking for something that might be entertaining without expectations. With expectations thus low, I enjoyed the Green Hornet. I thought it was childish and ridiculous, yet that was the way it was supposed to be, as everything was a joke. This is probably frustrating for any fans of old Green Hornet. The two main characters who end up together through a rather funny tirade on coffee don't automatically get along, instead are arguing and fighting the whole way through. It's irritating in that I don't find it entertaining to watch people being stupid, however, from the beginning you know the main character is an irresponsible immature guy who does whatever he feels like, and the sidekick is a genius used to doing whatever he wants because he can, so without trying to defend their characters, I just found it honestly funny. I liked Cameron Diaz as the no-nonsense secretary. The villain was highly entertaining. The fight scenes were mostly ridiculous but pretty fun anyway, and there was too much car-chase but then again the car was cool. With a tongue-in-cheek attitude all the way through, the movie delivered the entertainment I'd wanted without the sloppiness I'd expected.
