That was an excellent one.

Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

So throughout the whole movie, I was kinda understanding of why it was getting poor reviews. Mostly because of its' unoriginality.
But I maintained hope.
THEN..
EFFING THEN...
The End.
WTF
Like what? Am I supposed to be satisfied with that?
Looking back now as I'm writing this, I guess maybe by the mom killing the man and the dog, the little girls' ghost was set free??
But still. Very disappointing.
Was given all the right tools to be a much better movie, even with the unoriginality, it still could have been an enjoyable film.

This could have been a great film if they'd really focused on the horrible injustices committed against children who were the "disappointments." Instead, it focused on a character who appeared unstable without many redeeming qualities. In other words, the main character was not likable. In fact, there were no real likable characters in the film. Perhaps the librarian was the most charming. Unfortunately, she was only on screen for probably less than ten minutes total.Even the ghosts weren't impressive! Yes, I HAVE TO SAY IT: WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!

i enjoy any work done by W. Miller. i follow all his projects and i find them just amazing. everyone of us can understand diffrently the point of a movie or a story, but there is always a sparkle in everything good or bad. so, for those who think that this is a bad movie, i tell you guys to watch it again and see if, maybe, you missed the point. All the respect for the cast, producers and writers. a great job done one more time.

I'm not a big fan of horror films because I get nightmares easily, therefore I don't watch them often. But even I can see how unoriginal this movie was. Stereotypical tragic event in the family's past that is constantly alluded to but never fully explained until the end; big run down house in the middle of nowhere; overly happy father always upbeat and playful with the kid; mentally unstable protagonist whose illness is used solely as a way to have her scary experiences shrugged off, etc. There are a couple of jump scares that were so predictable. There were no other scary images or anything (personally I was thankful for that lol) And then there was really no plot, with an ending that didn't make much sense or leave you with a sense of satisfaction. I can see why this movie was pulled from theaters after just three weeks. This is something I would expect from a Lifetime movie - in fact I bet that's where you'll see this playing someday. I can't believe this is the same director as Disturbia. At least that movie got some reaction from me. The Disappointments Room is a colossal waste of time.
