Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
Comwayon A Disappointing Continuation
Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
Portia Hilton Blistering performances.
Irishchatter Well I decided to watch this short film because it was on my watch list for a very long time now so, I might as well check it out and see what its like. I really like the fact Briana Evigan appeared in this film, I haven't seen her do anything since she did Step Up 2 years ago. It was good to see her looking pretty as ever but I have to say this, she like the rest of the actors on this, aren't that fantastic singers. They pretty much sang like crows with badly sore throats, they really needed to have done more warm-ups before they could just sing on live. Or get bloody different actors who can sing brilliantly!Terrance Zdunich who played Lucifer, didn't do a bad job with his vocals. Still, he could've made a little improvement with fixing his voice right. This short movie wasn't too bad but I wouldn't watch anything thats joined with this, such as the sequel. It just didn't make me entertained as I would've liked!
m-hale-692-620501 Let me start off by saying that I love musicals and that i really love horror movies. This had a higher rating than most of the other horror movies on Netflix, and today is my day off, so i figured, why not. This movie is visually stunning. It set a dark mood for the entire film, and the make up and costuming was phenomenal. The acting was good, from most of the cast. and the music was catchy. They picked people that had good voices and good acting skills. and the story is an interesting, and original one. So why the average rating? Mostly because I couldn't give a sh*t less about any of the characters. There was little to no back story behind any of the "lost souls" and nothing was really explained. This movie could have been 100 times better, and received almost a perfect score from me, if we had gotten a little more back story, and the movie had been longer. Although I do want to note that the shortness of the movie is only a problem because the characters are so underdeveloped. it's not a bad movie, but that's only because the cast, the music, and the set somewhat save it. needless to say, i don't see myself watching this one again.my other problem with this movie is that the ABUSE VICTIM was blamed for her abuse. an abusive boyfriend is not her fault, so why is she in hell? and why does the klepto get whipped? that makes really, no sense to me. all in all, this gets a 4/10 from me.
Elizabeth Wylie First of all, I've read through some of the reviews already on here and it just made me realise that the majority of these people didn't actually watch the film. I mean, they must have not? Some of the things they say are just completely ridiculous and wouldn't be said if they had watched the film.First of all, someone said this movie promotes victim-blaming. Uh, no it does not. The young girl goes to hell because she is naive, she trusts her abusive boyfriend over and over until it leads to her death. Her naivety even when she knows better is her sin, as is made blatant when she trusts Scorpion even after he kisses Painted Doll, and when she puts her trust in Lucifer at the end of the movie. The victims are tortured and ridiculed because it's hell. It's the age old assumption of what could be worse than death, and the older woman's nakedness and ridicule is, to her, what is worse than death. She is stripped literally and metaphorically of everything that corrupted her. It isn't mindless titillation, anyone who thinks so clearly has no analytically skills whatsoever. The aesthetics are incredible and the way they've combined Aesop's Fables with a Gothic-esque atmosphere works very well. The only complaint I have is it was too short. There wasn't enough time for character development and the only character I felt any connection at all with was the male victim.
bipolarcow Before I say anything this should be known. DO RESEARCH. Terrance Zdunich does NOT write for a main stream audience. This movie doesn't cater to a wide audience because it was not created for one. It was created because Zdunich wanted to make it. I found the use of Aesop's Fables clever. I found that the lack of character development was purposeful. Most characters didn't even have names but titles. Which I found effective. There wasn't much of a plot. That's because it was Aesop's Fables. What is my problem with the film though? Too short.. Though I am more okay with this because this is a trilogy which in my opinion excuses the brevity. The movie is chaos because its a carnival in hell and I think a lot of people miss that point. Is this movie great? no. Is it worthy of a 1 or 3 star rating? GOD NO. The film is just really okay. Nothing more but nothing less.
