Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
Quiet Muffin This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Dana An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
Ersbel Oraph Drama for drama's sake.Very predictable. Maybe you can't see the ending, but surely you will know what goes next. So no thriller there. And it is slow. Maybe for the producer that meant moody. But everything goes in slow motion making the two hours absurd. A lot more could have been said in 90 minutes. The story is badly done. And the characters have to speak their thoughts so it would make some sense. And the stereotype is disgusting. The blind and destructive force a woman can be when she is left unmarried. The violent black thugs dressed in new sports gear - they have to steal to dress in those expensive branded clothing. The Asian guy selling the gun who is Asian because it's Chinatown. And everything has to happen in the same small area and about the same hour so we get the same detective. Who has probably seen the movie because he already knows it's the same person. And the main idea? The laws are there to hinder the good in their quest for justice. Right? A film for the hysterical white middle class behind iron doors. The victims are white. Sure, the policeman is the token black so nobody can accuse the producers of racism.Contact me with Questions, Comments or Suggestions ryitfork @ bitmail.ch
Andres-Camara This movie is a great adrenaline rush. Because I've put a nine, so many critics have suspended it. It is not the law of the jungle, at all, that misunderstood. If we asked people on the street, no one would, but everyone would agree that we must do it.I usually like this director because his characters are always very liberal and that is very badly seen today, especially in Europe. The movie itself is no wonder, but when you see it you can not stop thinking that justice has been done. You have a good taste, but of course, it's a movie. From the posters, to the movie, the actors are very well. As Jodie Foster is changing her way of being. As the policeman assumes a cost because he thinks he deserves it.Photography, not that I count a lot, is normal. The address is neither more nor less than normal. It entertains, simple plans, but if it takes well.In short is one of those films that does not back down at the end of the film and leaves us with that joy that did not leave me much.
juneebuggy I liked this one a lot. Its a revenge thriller or remake I suppose of the Charles Bronson's Death Wish series of the 70's. Jodie Foster takes the lead here and I enjoyed seeing a woman in the role of vigilante, refusing to be a victim and fighting back.Foster can be a bit much at times but she was perfect for this role setting out on a mission of revenge after a brutal attack (it's really rough) leaves her fiancé dead and 'Erica' unable to move past the tragedy. Eventually she buys a gun and begins prowling the city streets at night to track down the men she holds responsible. Foster does a good job here with the conflicted emotions and I have to admit to yelling "yes" a couple times after she smoked one of the bad guys.I also really enjoyed Terence Howard's detective character, the cat and mouse game between him and Foster is well done and suspenseful. Naveen Andrews has a small role here as the boyfriend, and the ending with the dog, jeez for some reason that almost had me in tears. It's the dogs that seem to get me every time. 03.13
cartoonheart45 The brave one was a success for me; it was irritating at some points, exciting at others points. It had what a crime movie should have. The main character was quiet gloomy and dark which made it interesting and attractive. Her strength made her look like a hero while committing crimes whether for the best of the humanity or for an individual matter. Let's put aside the legal matters, the movie was imposing some questions: are those people worth getting our hands dirty for or should we leave it until justice intervenes? This movie made it look like we're watching some super hero movie. The entire movie focused on the powerless police members who find themselves jobless with this woman stealing the lights. The detective was kind of falling in love with this new justice. It was fair enough for everyone; at some point he knew she was the one responsible of the mess and left her some encouragement notes. The movie had a really good aim. It showed how dirty can get the relationships in different part of the world even in the safest places and how unfaithfulness and disbelief that there's a higher power that's responsible for giving or taking lives and leaving judgments. Besides, it drew the lines of the current political situation making us realize that what's shown in the movie is exactly what's lived in real life structuring the interactions between the states. Who's playing the dark lady taking control of justice? Who's playing the blindfolded detective? The movie had great metaphors and some sarcastic images. Playing God won't guide to anywhere. The end was gloomy itself because there's two roads left after getting the new born killing sick machinery whether confessing the whole crimes or continuing the crimes until she'll get caught. I don't believe that she'll be getting some help to get back to her old life because she seemed quiet convinced of what she were getting her hands in. The perfect end was to leave it that way. Although it was a little disappointing because I was waiting impatiently to see if she'll get what she deserves at the end.
