Salubfoto It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.
KnotStronger This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
Abbigail Bush what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Eric Stevenson I guess this is one of the least awful of the "Amityville Horror" movies. These movies have become notorious because they were said to be based on a true story. I've done my research and there's no reason to think the writer didn't just make everything up. This is why we shouldn't lie. We get bad movies like this! Anyway, I never liked any of the other movies in this series. This seemed like just a ripoff of "The Shining". I haven't seen the original film in awhile, but I don't think they had the plot of the dad (or stepdad in this case) going crazy and trying to kill the family. It's hard to make flies scary. It's good by the standards of these movies, but at best mediocre by most standards. It's hard to take Ryan Reynolds' acting seriously. Not a horror movie fan to begin with. **
Jamie Green I was expecting far worse but it was way better than I first thought the acting was OK but not great but it is horror so can be forgiven, the effects were good the build up also I did like the fact that it was a period piece that is always a good move for these types of movies, the ending was a little quick for me but still OK but worth a watch.
Filipe Neto This movie is a remake of a 1979 horror classic, which most people no longer know. Despite this, almost all lovers of supernatural stories have heard of the crimes of Amityville and the death of the DeFeo family. The crime was true, as was the Lutz family's stay in that house for about a month. But the so-called "true story" on which this film is based ends here. The idea that the Lutz were also plagued by the supposed ghosts of this infamous house is apparently a complete invention, that the cinema has merely exploited and inflamed.Comparing this movie with its 1979 predecessor is inglorious. If the original has long been forgotten, the new film deserves to be forgotten. It's a bad movie, it never really fears the public, it fails by being absolutely predictable. It brings nothing new, interesting or appealing, limiting itself to making use of a famous story of presumed haunting to make some money. It has an uninteresting script and the special, visual and sound effects are not remarkable, using the most rehearsed recipes of horror movies. Actors' interpretation is boring, with the praiseworthy exception of Ryan Reynolds, who plays George Lutz. This actor wasn't brilliant, but managed to meet the minimums that were required of him.
jacobjohntaylor1 This is scarier then the original The Amityville horror from 1979. This is scarier then Amityville II the possession. It is scarier then Amityville 3 the demon. It is scarier Amityville 4 evil escapes. It is scarier then Amityville it' about time. It is scarier then Amityville a generation. The Amityville cure is better. The Amityville dollhouse is also scarier. Still this is a great movie. It has a great story line. It also has great acting. It also has great special effects. 6 is underrating this movie. I give it 10 out of 10 because is a great film. If this film does not scary you then no movie will. I need more line and I am running out things to say.
