Synopsis

Thank You is a 2013 Malayalam drama thriller film written by Arun Lal and directed by V. K. Prakash, starring Jayasurya, Honey Rose and Sethu. The film is produced by Shahul Hameed Marikar under the banner of Marikar Films and features music composed by Bijibal, whilst cinematography is handled by Arvind Krishna and is edited by Babu Rathnam.[1] Although the film earned back it's revenue from satellite rights, it did not run well in theatres. The film is shown to be a reflection of the current socio-political system, based on the violence against women. It revolves around a person who arrives in Trivandrum city who takes a ride from place to place in an Autorickshaw. His name or whereabouts are not revealed, and he just travels from place to place in the auto rickshaw. The questions about his whereabouts form the rest of the story.

Logan By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
Tejas Nair I am blown away by the unconventional & much-coveted message of this film that I request every person on Earth to at least consider reading the plot, if not watch.Because the makers have not put in efforts to give it a cinema potential. The editing is awful, poor cinematography, direction & improper dialogs. Cast performance isn't great either, except for Jayasurya. But the plot, somewhat starts like Die Hard 3 but ends with a meaningful yet impossible note. There is still long way to go before this will happen in real life, but at least to assuage our self-grown ire on rapists & criminals, it does strike a chord. The elements are cringe-worthy but are totally passable if you have what it takes to realize the depth of the depiction. 6.6 for a brilliant message & shoddy filmmaking.BOTTOM LINE: Recommended, so that at least it will put a dent on your notions. Can be watched with a typical Indian family?
