CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Tymon Sutton The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
Tweekums This, the third of the 'Taxi' films, sees a gang of thieves who dress up as Father Christmas staging a string of robberies in the Marseilles area. With Christmas approaching the police are convinced they are planning their biggest robbery yet. Not surprisingly police operations don't go according to plan; policeman Émilien manages to arrest his boss, Commissaire Gibert, because he had failed to tell his men that he was 'going undercover' by dressing as Father Christmas. Then Gibert allows a Chinese reporter into the police station and to accompany the police on active operations… it is a pity she is one of the gang! Somewhat inevitable Émilien ends up enlisting the help of his taxi driving friend Daniel and after a few problems they go after the thieves. If that wasn't enough both Émilien and Daniel learn that their girlfriends are pregnant… in Émilien's case he hadn't a clue even though she was eight months pregnant!Anybody who has seen the previous two instalments in this series of French films will know what to expect; lots of comically over the top action; including a taxi that travels faster than a speeding TGV train. The opening gives a hint of what is to come as Daniel drives Sylvester Stallone to the airport at high speed before the Bond-spoofing opening credits. The film itself is chock full of laugh out loud moments. Much of these laughs come during the over-the-top chases which involve thieves on rollerblades being pulled behind motorbikes, thieves in a monster truck and thieves skiing down a mountain followed by Daniel's 'winterised' taxi. Not all the laughs come from the chases; we have a drug dealer openly offering is wares to police officers in the police station, Giberts arrest and its hilarious aftermath and general police incompetence . The cast does a fine job playing their roles fairly straight despite the ridiculousness of the situation. Overall I'd recommend this to anybody wanting some good silly fun. These comments are based on watching the film in French with English subtitles.
pripyat So this movie starts off with a scene of Sylvester Stallone as James Bond Running away from some people who are wearing roller-skates and its not plot related so they just put it in there for some random reason. This movies contained some stupid scenes like kids holding what looked like Desert Eagle which if they fired would break their face (from the recoil). This movie wasn't all that bad contained some nice scenes and some fantasy for example : the way the car moved. The cops don't even chase the Taxi that's going 320km/h. The story itself in not all that bad which is the only reason you may want to considering to watch this movie. This movies should be Taxi 2 and no more sequels.
gridoon2018 The third chapter in the “Taxi” series is a definite step down from the second. Director Gérard Krawczyk and screenwriter Luc Besson have managed to introduce some new elements to the franchise (a pre-credits Stallone cameo, a Bond-style title sequence, a gigantic 4 X 4 crashing everything on its path, bank robbers disguised as Santa Clauses, future parenthood, the action moving to the Swiss Alps in the last 20 minutes and Daniel's taxi functioning as a snowmobile, etc.) to justify making this sequel. However, Besson's script remains very thin (the film barely fills up 83 minutes, long closing credits included), and the absence of a climactic set-piece is especially disappointing. The characters still have appeal, and the introduction of exotic beauty Bai Ling is a plus; on the other hand, those expecting Emma Sjöberg to get involved in the action in the same way she was in "Taxi 2" should forget about it: her character is already 8 months pregnant as the movie opens. guillaumerouy Luc Besson is a Big personality in the French Cinema business. Actually, He would love to be compared as the french "Spielberg". The guy who manages great success at the box office and quality. However, with Besson, this is not the case. Despite some massive french box office hits ("Le grand Bleu", "le 5eme element"), Besson, as a director, never managed to impress us. His movies are extremely commercials but, for most of them, very childish and immature. And this is typical for Taxi 3. Taxi, the first one, was quite funny and the stunts were terrific. This was a hit at the box office because it was "different" from the other kind of french cinema. But, OMG, this one is so bad! This is definitely the WORST ACTING performance ever in a french movie ! Look at Gibert, the "commissaire" - the "captain". Poor guy, he IS the worst actor i ever seen in a long time ! Sounds like the director had focused on the stunts and totally forgot to, actually, "direct" the actors ! While some scenes has some funny aspects, it is so silly that it is stupid. Believe it or not but the scenario and the dialog reminds me of the "great" Max Pecas, RIP, the worst french director ever as Tim Burton compares him with Ed Wood ! Yes This Max Pecas style ! But with more money. Besson may have made some few bucks with this one, but doing such a crap film, i don't think he will be ever remembered as the french "Spielberg" !
