Murphy Howard I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Tron North The character Officer White Lucas is so funny and dumb at the same time, funnier and better than Paul walker. Vin Serento is also funny and dumb at the same time, funnier and more better than Vin diesel all the way. Detective Rock Johnson Rocks! Rocks so much harder than Dwayne Johnson and funny when he keeps putting baby oil in his arm so dumb. Unlike Dwayne Johnson he's boring all the way and isn't funny whatsoever His looks is what makes people think he's funny when he's not at all. People only give bad reviews and dislike it all because they think it's insulting Paul walker when it isn't. The planning was also dumb how the character Vin, not Vin diesel, when he talked about it for about 8 minutes and nobody didn't seem to like it and he made another plan for like 9 seconds and they agreed to it.
elshikh4 After many extremely awful parodies, such as Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, Disaster Movie, and The Starving Games—finally the writing and directing duo, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, did something good. This time, while they parody The Fast and the Furious franchise, there is some kind of plot, actual funny lines and situations, a number of really nice ideas, and a conscience to review the downsides of its original. Well, late is better than never ! The script created plenty of lovable moments; like the scene of the plan's explanation, the running gag of misunderstanding the girlfriend's carriage, and the evil guy's anger towards his dumb henchman. Not to mention, it satirized the original's stereotypes as Rapper Cameo, Cool Asian Guy, and Model Turned Actress. And cleverly spoofed its leads' marks : Dwayne Johnson's muscles, Michelle Rodriguez's masculinity, and Paul Walker's idiotic aspect. But while it's surely less stupid than Friedberg & Seltzer's previous dogs, Superfast isn't wholly smart. It lacks cinematic craft, and sometimes lacks cinema itself. For obvious examples : Couple of scenes dragged to the edge of bore, the editing is heavy-handed in some places, and the direction is between lazy and nonexistent. It's a tangible problem in their previous work too, which assures that they don't have enough potential to direct.Over and above, few jokes were pretty old to be used (the foot that gets longer after being ran over by a car, keeping the skeleton of a dead guy.. ). The production was beyond poor; the movie looks made in one warehouse and one street. Save Dale Pavinski as Vin Diesel's caricature, Omar Chaparro as the laughably nervous evil guy, and the beautiful Lili Mirojnick—the cast consists of some actors with the least charisma and talent.Despite its foibles, this is surprisingly enjoyable comedy. I don't think that this has something to do with its PG-13 rating. Because Friedberg & Seltzer's 2013 movie, The Starving Games, was PG-13 as well, though crowded with blood, farts, and other sources of hideousness. I believe it has something to do with the way how they challenged themselves to accomplish a comedy that doesn't count on toilet humor, sex jokes, bad language, and free nudity (namely the easy filthiness and cheapness), while having – in the same time – the ambition of early classic parodies such as The Naked Gun series, in terms of coherence and visual comedy. Superfast is the first movie by Friedberg & Seltzer that could be watched more than once (or watched in the first place !). And after 15 years of ruthless flops, that's a historical achievement which the entire human race must learn from, and follow its example !
wyattlpitt So a few of us guys decided to start a D-Movie night. We look for the lowest ratings on Netflix and pick the movies with the worst. This movie had a 1.5 stars and looked like a horrible movie...After the first twenty minutes, it's clear that it is a big spoof on the Fast and the Furious movies. Heck, the guy who plays the parody version of Vin Diesels character's character name is Vin. Of course that isn't the best part but it is small things in parody movies that make them hilarious. The subtle ability to write a hidden joke inside of the joke they're telling is genius. Even in the outright humor of Detective Rock Johnson (the parody of the Rock's character in F&F franchise) isn't in just the name or his dialogue. He even get's the Rock's mannerisms down. And he isn't the only one! I was in tears because of this movie, and would recommend to anyone who enjoys comedies and parodies like The Naked Gun, Hot Shots, or even some of the Scary Movies to watch this movie --- specially in a group! It may have a few slap-stick jokes and fart humor, but just because they're present doesn't make the movie less funny.Personally, the reviews being so negative about this film confuse me. It wasn't as if the source material they were taking from was a great movie for the ages like Gone with the Wind or Shawshank Redemption. This wasn't meant to win Oscars, it was meant to entertain --- and it did!Seems these guys might have a decent re-start with this movie. Lets hope they continue with it. I want more!
Pumpkin_Man Personally, I've always been a fan of their weird crazy silly spoof movies. (Epic Movie and Vampires Suck are my favorites) After the trainwreck that was 'Disaster Movie' it feels like they stick with spoofing one main franchise at a time now rather that spoofing multiple movies and characters into one. This time, they are spoofing The Fast & the Furious franchise. The franchise has gone from sexy street racing to pulling off heists like Ocean's Eleven. Superfast did a great job at spoofing this long drawn out series. Making fun of the clichés like having a black guy, an Asian, a greased up guy, and a hot supermodel in the group. The guy playing Detective Rock Johnson was hilarious and had Dwayne Johnson's mannerisms down perfectly. Listen, this movie isn't meant to be some boring drawn out Award winning masterpiece, it's just meant to be funny and give you a couple of laughs, so please don't judge it so harshly.Undercover police officer Lucas White enters the world of underground street racing to join a gang of street racers led by Vin Serento to get closer to a crime ring led by Los Angeles kingpin Juan Carlos de la Sol. Lucas and Vin very quickly become BFFs and dates his sister, Jordana. They put together a group to take down Juan Carlos and steal $100 million. Hot on their trail is a dim-witted detective who keeps rubbing his body with baby oil. It all leads to a high speed chase and plenty of hilarity. I highly recommend SUPERFAST!!!
