Synopsis

Ten years after the starship Voyager's return from the Delta Quadrant, the Federation is in a crisis. The Federation's main suppliers of dilithium crystals (the primary catalyst for the fuel used in faster-than-light travel) are disappearing. Space and time have folded around several planets, isolating them from outside contact. The phenomenon is unnatural – someone or something is causing it to happen. The need to stop this necessitates drastic measures, some of which are outside the Federation’s normal jurisdiction.

Boobirt Stylish but barely mediocre overall
Stoutor It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Josephina Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
pvisi This is a super bad film named Star Trek. The few actors from earlier shows gives you the level what you expect after Start Trek series and films. But the rest... Bad acting. Bad CGIs-means super bad, like made by a 5 years old. Bad photography, really bad camera sets. Bad story-telling and no character developing. It's like made by The Asylum studio but it's not. (Who does not know that studio, they made all the Sharknado films.)I was suffering during the whole film for the higher purpose to tell my honest opinion about it if I already decided to watch despite the signs. For all the real fans who really likes Star Trek universe, this is my last warning: AVOID AT ALL COST.
sailorgaz The acting is so, so bad. Even the old star trek actors from the original series and voyager used are bad actors and you can see why they never worked again. The supporting cast are really, really bad, it sounds like they've no acting experience and I've a feeling they were pulled off the street. The CGI and special effects are terrible, I mean late 90's quality. The aliens make-up and costumes look thrown together by a blind person.I've honestly seen pornographic movies with better acting than this and I've seen higher production values in 80's pornography. Some die hard Star Trek fans will appreciate the effort and seeing the actors again. Most with be sheathing that something so poor has been given the star trek name. Avoid at all costs
Paul CF Came across this movie by accident. Watched it, interesting, with some really good actors but it is 'stilted' in dialogue and action. It has promise (in future releases) and shows how alternate methods of funding can bring a movie to the big screen. It has potential to go far if the production values are polished up and the actors a bit more polished and less 'forced'. It seems/appears that this could be the first in a series of these movies. It does try to introduce too much from the world and work of Star Trek and I wish it had held back a bit for sake of movie "flow".All in all a great concept and idea, I hope they continue to release more titles!
zampino-2 Considering the budget, I was surprised that "Renegades" works well as part of the broader Star Trek canvas. It also presents an interesting concept that uses well-known references to the franchise in enjoyable ways. And last, it's good to see some well-known characters taking part. Kudos to the tenacity of everyone involved to make this project happen. That said, much in the story is rushed, unfinished or underdeveloped; I felt like the plot was trying too hard to establish a larger story, to the detriment of the story at hand. That shows potential for a series, but left a lot of lingering questions about how we got to the point that the story embarks from. Given the budget I'm not surprised that the dialog and character interaction is awkward, and I suspect a bigger budget with more time to develop characters and rewrite dialog would have made this feel more like a "real" Star Trek episode. The graphics and effects were quite good given the budget. Many scenes however were exaggerated, probably the worst being the battle of Singh and the alien big bad. This is as much a problem with the genre, as I see ridiculous battles that inexplicably play out in the protagonist's favor in too many shows. I don't see that as an excuse, and I hope more thought will be put into cause and effect if the series continue, which I hope it does.
