Synopsis

En route to the honeymoon of William Riker to Deanna Troi on her home planet of Betazed, Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise receives word from Starfleet that a coup has resulted in the installation of a new Romulan political leader, Shinzon, who claims to seek peace with the human-backed United Federation of Planets. Once in enemy territory, the captain and his crew make a startling discovery: Shinzon is human, a slave from the Romulan sister planet of Remus, and has a secret, shocking relationship to Picard himself.

Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
Portia Hilton Blistering performances.
Lachlan Coulson This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
Cristal The movie really just wants to entertain people.
gmlcgohbw This is a Star Trek film that gets better as people view it a second or third time. The opening scene is surprising in it opens in Romulus and then goes to Will and Deanna's wedding. Both scenes surprised me then the mystery of B2 Shinzon and possible peace with the Romulans. The film has action great acting and is shot beautifully especially the final battle. Tom Hardy is the best villain since Ricardo Montevon.
trashgang The last one made with the second generation crew on board of the USS Enterprise. And I must say that it was a good one. I really enjoyed it.Wear as the previous one the characters were laughable and had a lot of love parts this one doesn't. All characters are back in normal condition and the one love scene you will see turns into a nightmare so on that part it's a Star Trek flick. The effects are also much better but it's the story itself that makes it watchable.Nemesis was the end of an era, it took years before a new generation came on board of the Enterprise.Gore 0/5 Nudity 0/5 Effects 3/5 Story 3/5 Comedy 0/5
Python Hyena Star Trek: Nemesis (2002): Dir: Stuart Baird / Cast: Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes, Michael Dorn, LeVar Burton: Tenth film in the franchise and quite successful. "Nemesis" is symbolic of conflict against oneself. It begins at the wedding reception of Commander Riker and Deanna Troi. This is fun but it is not capitalized upon enough. It is as if these subplots were tacked on just to give the characters something to do. Central action involves Romulans claiming to be initiating a peace offering when in fact they are plotting an attack against earth. Very clever with many plot twists and blazing action. Director Stuart Baird creates an entertaining film but it lacks character development. He previously made the mediocre action misfire Executive Decision. Patrick Stewart still holds dignity as Captain Piccard. Brent Spiner as Data demonstrates loyalty and sacrifice. Other roles are flat including Jonathan Frakes and Michael Dorn. Frakes gets hitched but from there that is pretty much his highlight. Dorn as Worf discovers that he has a zit but this is hardly an interesting development for a character of this nature. LeVar Burton plays Geordi La Forge whose identity has him wearing a special device for his sight. This is labeled as the final film in the franchise although we have been fooled with this sort of marketing before. Exquisite effects that celebrates another era in the franchise. Score: 8 / 10
Deborah121 I really enjoyed this movie. It's one of two Star Trek movies that I own (the other one being the 2009 reboot), and I don't buy movies unless I plan to watch them multiple times. I really admire the production values. I love how the camera moves through the credits, circles around Remus, and homes in through the clouds to the Romulan Senate. I appreciate things such as the shadow that passes over the Enterprise as the shuttle goes down to investigate the positronic readings and the atmosphere that surrounds the planet. The shuttle landing looked very realistic including the puff of dust as it landed. I also love the buckling of the ships as they smash together, and that debris floats around when the ships separate. I think the music is fantastic. I think Tom Hardy does a great job. I love some of his lines - "You won't survive long enough to witness the victory of the echo over the voice" and "All power to the engines. Full reverse." The viceroy was wonderfully glowering and I liked his low, rumbling, menacing voice. I love his look of disgust as he turns away after giving Shinzon grief in the Senate chamber. And I love Picard's lines "She's a predator" and "Nothing would make me more proud to accept your hand in friendship, when that trust has been earned." All in all a good ride with lots of details that I really appreciated.
