AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks
Wordiezett So much average
Gutsycurene Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.
Bluebell Alcock Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies
Wuchak RELEASED IN 1996 and directed by Rick Friedberg, "Spy Hard" is a spoof of James Bond flicks with Leslie Nielsen as Agent WD-40 and Nicollette Sheridan as Agent 3.14. Stephanie Romanov plays a dual role while Marcia Gay Harden is on hand as the agent's dubious secretary. Andy Griffith plays the main heavy. The first 15 minutes are hilarious, but from there the movie settles down into quietly amusing. The tone is akin to The Naked Gun franchise with its silly humor. The movie coulda done better on the female front, but Sheridan is likable and Harden has a couple worthy scenes. Additional movies are spoofed, like "Pulp Fiction." Overall, it's a throwaway comedy, but it has its goofy charm. THE FILM RUNS 81 minutes and was shot in Los Angeles and Burbank. WRITERS: Jason Friedberg, Aaron Seltzer, Dick Chudnow & Friedberg. GRADE: B
xpat-55192 The late Leslie Nielsen is one of my favourite comedic actors, but not even he could carry this clunker along.Pros: Top cast with some attractive eye-candy.Cons: Compared to all of Leslie Nielsen's other comedies this was easily his most disappointing, but I suppose you can only read the lines you are given.
Uriah43 Having supposedly killed the evil "General Rancor" (Andy Griffith) before he can do any mischief "Agent WD-40" (Leslie Nielsen) retires from the Secret Service to enjoy the remainder of his life to the fullest. However, he is called back by "the Director" (played by Charles Durning) when it is discovered that General Rancor has managed to survive and is now demanding a special computer chip in exchange for the release of an agent named "Barbara Dahl" (Stephanie Romanov) who just happens to be the daughter of the woman that Agent WD-40 (aka "Dick Steele") once loved. To that end, Agent WD-40 has to find the special computer chip before General Rancor can get his hands on it while at the same time attempt to rescue Barbara Dahl in the process. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this movie had a couple of humorous scenes here and there but like a joke that has been told once too often it lost its appeal after awhile. It just got old too quickly and for that reason I have rated it accordingly. Below average.
daworldismine spy hard is a funny spoof starring laugh master leslie nielsen and while it's not as funny as his police squad works it has some great laughs none the less, there is virtually no plot just gag after gag, some fail, but most work, thankfuly its short running time doesn't let it get repetitive. we all know what to expect from a leslie nielsen movie and spy hard delivers the usaul dose of leslie nielsen type comedy, sure its of a certain taste but trust me when your in the mood, they deliver the goods. spy hard is a decent comedy and has enough laughs but trust me its no classic, but if your a leslie nielsen fan as i am, then it's definitely one for the collection.
