To me, this movie is perfection.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.

A very watchable spy movie with some confusing twists. Its not as action packed as e.g. atomic blonde but j.l. gives a very convincing perfomance of an abused woman craving for revenge. In the end it makes perfect sense. Dont mess with the wrong woman.

Two-three sex scenes, plot are absolutely predictable: good are good, bad are bad. it's not a thriller.
One of thousands meaningless films. Many mistakes. But the visual picture is ok.
The only one reason to watch - sexy Jennifer Lawrence.Too many ridiculous things about Russia - now I'm not talking about government, intelligence or politics - no, that's a doubtful question, but russian cities (Moscow at the beginning, wasn't even shot there), russian way of living (apartments as an example).. so far away from real life, as always in american movies, we are used to this:)

Red Sparrow is ok. Its more serious than 007, while failing to be as serious as the excellent Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Jennifer Lawrence is good, although I wasn't sure what to make of her Russian accent, which she looses from time to time. Red Sparrow fails to live to the hype. I expected more.

This is a cold war thriller about a Russian of privilege being manipulated by the Russian state appatchiks to violate themselves and those around them. Deployed to fight the American enemy the beautiful and downright ideal Russian woman rolls up her sleeves to fight for herself above the enemy and so-called friend. In a world dominated by Star Wars 7 and 8, the eighteenth Marvel film and sixteenth DC comic film this film stands out. Although on its own merits there is quite a lot to see... unless you prefer to watch yet another JJ Abrams sequel or something.
