HeadlinesExotic Boring
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Donald Seymour This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Matho The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
surajadderameshan I wanted to watch this film for Salena Gomez (Beezus), but When I first saw this film, I instantly took a liking to the character "Ramona" played by Joey king. She is this charming, innocent, affable "and many other positive adjectives" girl, who cares for people around her. She drives the movie with her adventures and others, sort of fit into it. This movie has elements of creativity, humor, romance, family matters and abundance of cuteness. I recommended this movie to my sister and we saw it together and she thanked me for making her watch it. Watching this movie will give you a, feel good vibe. I would recommend all to watch this movie with your loved ones and cherish that moment.
lewiskendell A really cute, completely harmless, and often amusing family movie. I wish less of the story was focused on the adult characters (the Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Duhamel storyline almost put me to sleep) and more time was spent with the adorable Ramona (Joey King, who absolutely steals the movie) and the charming Beezus (Selena Gomez, who hopefully has a great movie career ahead of her), but honestly, there's not much about Ramona and Beezus that I didn't like. Anyone with fond memories of reading Beverly Cleary books as a kid or who wants to share the on-screen versions of the characters with their children will enjoy this. Ramona and Beezus is the rare kind of completely inoffensive family-oriented film that escapes blandess and boredom and leaves you with a grin on your face, despite all the sugary sweetness.
vcute7 I really like this movie. I admit i originally watched it for Selena Gomez I wanted to see if she could actually act outside of Disney and though i didn't determine that, since Joey King was the real star in the movie, i found that i really enjoyed the movie. Yes it is a family movie and a lot of people say it is about nothing, but a movie about nothing to me is really a movie about everything. this movie showed you a family with its family problems and yes there were scenes that let u know that yes it is a movie its still portrayed a good family dynamic and good character interactions, and like i said joey king was amazing some of her scenes made me tear up. If you are looking for a movie with a distinct story line then this is not the movie for you but if just want to chill with the family and watch a movie that makes your family feel normal, with its quirks, crazy kids and surprisingly special moments. then hunker down with the family for a good time
Ryan_MYeah Centering on a wildly imaginative young girl named Ramona (Played by Joey King), it tells a story of her and her family. Her father (Played by John Corbett), is having trouble finding work after his company downsizes and fires him, her sister nicknamed Beezus (Played convincingly by Selena Gomez) is often quite annoyed by her sister's antics, and she herself is an outsider to a world which sees her as overly odd, that and their house is about to be repossessed.I'm actually happy that I turned out enjoying the film more than I thought I was going to. But even though it's not a bad movie, it still left me feeling there was more potential. The cast is charming, specifically that of Joey King and Selena Gomez as the title characters, but there are still some arcs and characters that are inconsistently handled. The script is very sweet, but I feel that any emotional resonance it was trying to reach wasn't always up to par. But it does offer some good laughs, touching moments, and there was plenty of redeeming factors for it to leave a good taste in my mouth.Ramona and Beezus isn't great, but it could have been worse.I give it **1/2 out of ****
