CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
Casey Duggan It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
jfgibson73 I was surprised how much I liked this movie. My point of view was that I wanted something fun for my daughter and I to watch together. The plot was silly and the characters didn't really resemble actual people-- Selena's character had to really work hard to be exasperated all the time, when someone like her would have surely been much more understanding. Demi Lavato, in my opinion, had a poise and charisma that made up for the weaknesses in the script. I would like to see these two together again, and wouldn't even mind a sequel, although not with the girls as co-agents. It wasn't a story we learned anything from, but it was simple and fun, and I'd watch it again.
Melanie-burford My daughter says we should give this film one million stars! It is a lovely film about how our lives can change in a flash, and we can learn new things about ourselves. It is about a princess from far away who has to go to stay with her bodyguards family for her own protection. However, she has to pretend that she is not a princess anymore, and just an ordinary girl. she has lots of adventures, some of them are quite funny, some of them very dramatic. This is a good film to teach children moral values. It has some lovely costumes and scenery in it.The story line is very good. There is some good acting in it.
Annie Morales First of all, the ending was soooooooooo awful and I knew some of you wanted to know what happened with Ed and Carter and stuff like that. I was looking forward to that to but then I guess it was a big disappointment. But seriously, friendship is the main theme here and I think each best friend should watch this....I meant the lesson of the story. It's pretty good Carter spared Rosie and went with the General Guy and sacrificed herself for her best friend. And her dad, OMG, I hate it! The part when the rescued her....her dad should've said "I'm proud of you, Carter, you inherited my skills" or stuff like that that Carter was a brave person but of course she might've be in trouble but above all, it's a typical Disney movie except for the ending which is awful.
ichocolat Witness Protection Program is the first Disney film I watched for 2009. Like many other Disney films, this is educational, entertaining, albeit highly predictable. No points in figuring out the ending, but it's still nice to watch the entire film, to see how the film progress.I am not giving any plots away, because doing that, then you wouldn't have to watch the film altogether. The film is educational. It deals about father-daughter relationship, about growing up, and about how perception makes people treat others differently.Teens, especially are quick to judge a person simply based on how, say, a person dresses, or how a person talks. Wear a thick glasses people may think that he/she is geeky/nerd. Have a stud in the nose, and one quickly judge that he/she is a cousin/niece of the cow family. But it is not that simple. It is not clear cut, black-and-white thing, after all. No one can judge a person without knowing the other person first. And this film deals with exactly just that. About how a princess is immediately perceived as being shallow, and does not know how to do chores. It teaches us that it doesn't matter who we are, what color our skin are, what language we speak, what matters is what's inside.Enough typing. Bring your pre-teens to watch this film, and impart onto them that they should not judge quickly their friends, to take the time to know others better before making their judgment.Should have given this film an 8, but I think it deserves only a 7 because of the highly predictable ending.
