plon31 Boring, monotonous and mediocre with endless drivel. Get ready for over an hour of sheer ass kissing and hero worship! American propaganda and BS at its best! I have no doubt that Murphy is a brave guy, but this so called "Documentary" is absolutely ridiculous, and sets a new standard for cheap and trashy hero worship! Seriously, according to this film Murphy was a saint who could walk on water! This Doco makes Captain America look like a pussy! I respect the guy and the sacrifices he made, but there is only so much cheesy and overt trash i can stand! No doubt most redneck Americans will love this rubbish, but for the rest of us people, i suggest you give it a miss. Or keep a vomit bucket handy. Enjoy!

Steven Stultz This movie is a great insight into a man who gave so much for his fellow SEALs and his countrymen. It shows the sacrifices and hardships that he went through to ear the right to wear the golden Trident that a select few can accomplish. If you know the real back story of why these men were there doing a recognizance mission to capture a man who was butchering soldiers as well as his fellow Afghanis then you know these men are all heroes. The movie gave you a great insight into the type of person he was from the words of family and friends. Sadly some review without knowing anything on the actual topic at hand. Highly recommend it to anyone. There is also a book written about him that if you enjoy the movie you would enjoy the book as well. It also conveys the heroic acts that are talked about in the movie.

grungerb The movie was stirring, painful and brought home the war and the heroes who are fighting it. Our young ones need to know the true value of their freedom and the cost that many pay for us to have it. To the nay sayers, all I can do is direct your thoughts to the fact that you can freely say the things here that you do because of Murph and men and women like him. Though I find it a bit strange some are unable to correlate that simple truth...most of us can. Thank you to all who served and serve for our freedom. It filled me with pride to see the selflessness of these men, the heart and the willingness to put others first. The movie it appears did a great job of bringing the intensity, struggle and tragedy to our attention.

rheide83 Murph: The Protector is a summary of what is good about America. While the movie is about one man, one family, and one set of friends, it exemplifies the ethic that made our Country great! Through Murph, we see the selfless dedication to something that is larger than ourselves. We see Brotherhood exemplified and see demonstrated the value of Family being the most important fabric of our great nation. In a time of "oneupmanship", Murph keeps it real. No action, no gore, just simple love, friendship, and sacrifice for what is right and good. Murph is about valuing human life (as displayed by holding, then releasing the shepherds-noncombatants at the Team's own risk). The film also shows the value of a support system at home.I took my family to see this movie, including my 12 year old daughter, mostly to honor a man. But also to show that perseverance, dedication, and servitude are characteristics that should be held in high regard by every person in the US. If we showed more of Murph's ethic in our daily lives, we would all be better for it. God Bless the Murphy family.
