Matrixiole Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
Voxitype Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Mathilde the Guild Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
adonis98-743-186503 Alex and Selma are a couple in love on a trip to the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Suddenly, Selma feels somebody chasing them. She clings to her Muslim amulet, "hamajlija", causing the mysterious force to emerge from the forest. The Maus is a pretty damn bad horror film that has no soul or even knows what fun truly means, nothing happens for the biggest majority of the movie but i also found myself getting bored pretty easily from the whole experience plus the actors didn't try their best it seems since they were pretty bad as well. (0/10)
salkomandzo This is just one of dozen thousand sad stories happened in bosnia by serbs who were convicted for a genocide in bosnia.(killed over 100,000 people, womans, kids, raped womans from age of 11 to 86 years old...I like this movie.
Páiric O'Corráin The Maus: Confused and confusing film about a couple. a Bosnian woman and her German boyfriend, whose car breaks down on a road on the midst of a Bosnian forest. They appear to wander into a minefield but the woman's dog who isn't actually with them is blown up. They encounter two Serbian men who attack them but this appears (along with the dog incident) to be the woman hallucinating about past events when her family were murdered in the 1990s. Then they really seem to be attacked by two Serbs. The woman also has an amulet which has the power to summon up a spirit to help her. Or is she just imagining all of this? Is she suffering from PTSD? I don't know and I don't think the screenwriter or the director did either. Some very disturbing scenes but an absence of shocks. 5/10. On Netflix.
moradbalifr Sadly, I am not surprised to see bad ratings here, certainly from people used to "stimulus-horror" movies, where you have to jump out of your sit each minutes in order to consider it as something nice. This movie is at the edge of the psychological thriller. It is really rooted in anguish, with a mysterious, dark and heavy atmosphere. The atmosphere is fed by many long single take tracking shots - no edits, no cuts. It contributes more than largely to the "breath-taking" feeling that the movie creates. The deep forest fits the story perfectly, and create a situation where everything can happen without anyone near to help. Add to this the fact that the story takes place in the Srebrenica massacre frame, we constantly wonder if the paranoia of the main character is legitimate or not. I highly recommend it, but avoid if you want blood and stimulus. Don't destroy its rating for any reasons, there is something great to watch here !
