GUENOT PHILIPPE That's probably the hundreth DIE HARD rip off existing. Nothing new. Many elements of the John McTiernan's masterpiece are here, including, the supposed good guy, the hero's supposed allie who eventually happens to be the bad goons sidekick. That's Simply a delicious piece of Junk, crap, corny at the most. Delicious because I was not bored at all, it was a good time waster for me. Paul Tanter remains the same but that's good enough for me. He has never been worse or better and I guess he never will either.

TheLittleSongbird Did not expect much in the first place before watching 'Kill Ratio'. It sounded interesting, but it did look like a not very well made, ridiculous and by the numbers film with not particularly good actors. Saw 'Kill Ratio' anyway out of curiosity, being intrigued by the idea and having been a lot of low-budget films recently (most not very good to put it lightly). 'Kill Ratio' turned out to be more or less, make that exactly even, what was expected. Except worse. It started off pretty well, giving off the sense that maybe the film won't be bad and be better than it seemed. This didn't stay for long though and it is something of a shame. After the opening, the film went down south catastrophically very quickly and never recovered or improved. Actually got pretty much worse as it progressed. On a visual level, 'Kill Ratio' looked shoddy. Drab and simplistic, with haphazard editing, far from slick photography and very artificial-looking and overused to the point of abuse effects/CGI.The sound/soundtrack are intrusive and obvious and the direction has no sense of atmosphere or pacing, nothing to be thrilled by and nothing much engaging.Script is awkward-sounding and ponderous, with lines that do make one cringe. A lot of it is gibberish and juvenile, with a stilted improvisatory feel that shouldn't have made it past draft stages. On top of that, the story goes through the motions with no tension, suspense or thrills, a lot of intelligence-insulting ridiculousness, implausibility and pacing so dull that it makes a reasonably short length much longer. The action sequences are more preposterous and by the numbers than they are thrilling or fun, a big problem for a film so heavy on this aspect. The terrible way they look also hinder them.Characters are basically every stereotype in the book it seems and are one-dimensional caricatures with no likeability or development and with the inability to behave logically. The acting is very poor all round with a very uncharismatic lead for one. In summary, bad film in almost every way. 2/10 Bethany Cox

You've got your pseudo eastern European accents, Russian, but not too Russian, there is eye candy for both sexes, bulging biceps and skimpy outfits. General this and madam president that, a token effort to feminism. Democracy must win the day and the strong female leader will win the day, even if she barely survived a bomb.. Despite the hotel filled with high profile business people, the General and his team only kill one little blonde, poor thing. The good guy can dodge bullets without any gear, stare down the bad guys and shoot them. Almost like an old fashioned cowboys and Indians. There are many times in the movie where nothing is happening and the only way to keep interest is through a rushing sound track. If you turned off the sound, you'd be bored out of your mind. This is about as bad a movie as I've seen recently. Skim through it if you must waste your time.

Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) "Kill ratio" is an American movie from 2016 and this one here is really very very new at this point. It runs for slightly under 90 minutes and was directed by Paul Tanter and written by Steven Palmer Peterson and time will tell if it becomes one of their most known works. The lead actor is Tom Hopper and I cannot say I am familiar with him or with any of the other actors in here, but I guess he is physically fine for the part and also his performance is pretty decent overall. Nothing too great or deep, but he works the part, which is a solid achievement as he is in almost every scene of the film. And same can be said about the film overall. You should not check this one out if you are looking for great depth or meaningful character development, but it has some guilty pleasure potential and people who like film's à la Liam Neeson's "Taken" can have a pretty solid time with this one I guess. It is the story of a contractor who is in a foreign country at the very time a military coup happens. And as an unstoppable one man army, he makes his way helping to finish the bad guys and bring the former president back to power while getting rid of the radical military leader. It's all pretty generic and stereotypical really and also predictable, also with the hot women (moaning all the times because of how much they suffer, I am sure this was not meant the way it sounded haha) surrounding our hero, but sometimes films like these can be really solid too if you are in the mood. Like I said, don't go into this one with too high expectations and you can spend a fairly enjoyable 85 minutes I am sure. That's why my overall verdict on this film is a thumbs-up. I recommend checking it out.
