VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Justina The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
OllieSuave-007 There's more fun and laughter in this sequel as Rowan Atkinson returns as MI7 agent Johnny English, tasked to help stop an assassination plot against the Chinese premier. Filmed with fast-paced action and endless gags and humor, this film will send you loads of laughs and pure entertainment. The bumbling Johnny English teams up with the lesser bumbling Agent Tucker (Daniel Kaluuya) and the charming therapist Kate Sumner (Rosamund Pike); their chemistry were quite hilarious. There's more action and edge-of-your-seat excitement in this one, from the Asian cleaning lady assassin to the mysterious key that is the center of all the chaos. Overall, a very entertaining film - tastefully done gags with a good mixture of action and suspense. Grade A
jacobkilby Overall, there is more suspense and tension created than in the first one; additionally there are also quite a few spoof Bond film scenes. The plot moves away from 'British' things which the first one relied one plot wise. The casting is imaginative with Rosamund Pike and Dominic West; and Mark Ivanir provides a shortish but interesting character. This film has clearly been directed better, and the score for the film is pleasant as well. Tucker is not on the same level as Baugh but it was probably for the better to move the series on. The kitchen scene at the end of the credits is hilarious and 'In the hall of the Mountain King' is now forever associated with this in my mind! A good sequel, but lacking in places.
Uriah43 When a plot to assassinate the Chinese premier is detected the British reluctantly decide to call in a former member of MI-7 by the name of "Johnny English" (Rowan Atkinson) to assist in the case. This results in him flying to Hong Kong to meet an important contact but when his contact is killed in front of him his involvement becomes much more intense than MI-7 had initially planned. Additionally, as in the previous film it soon becomes apparent that he has a certain knack for getting to the bottom of things despite his inherent clumsiness. Now rather than reveal any more of this movie and risk spoiling it for those who haven't seen it I will just say that this was a solid sequel to the 2003 movie "Johnny English". In that regard, Rowan Atkinson performs quite capably with Rosamund Pike (as "Kate Sumner") definitely adding to the scenery. In short, this turned out to be an amusing movie and I rate it as about average.
joey-612-186288 Not as good as the first Johnny English for me. I felt nothing for this movie but dullness. No suspense, no witty humor, no horror, no well-thought out skits, no sadness, no happiness, no intrigue. Just one lame attempt after another at lazy, trite situations. The plot attempted was more complex for this mind numbing movie to pull off and really I could not even follow what the entire point of the plot was about, nor did I care cause, you know, I felt nothing except, "oh my gosh when does this end".It's all relative though. Seems like many other people liked it. However, it does appear that many of the people who really liked this movie did not like the first one as much and the people who really liked the first Johnny English lot did not care as much for this sequel.
