Synopsis

Kevin, Sam and Rob have an unusual hobby: planning foolproof heists, without intending to actually perform them. The game goes wrong when their latest plan is stolen and carried out. Things get even worse when a mysterious man approaches them with an offer: plan a heist for him, or go to jail. As the clock ticks, they find that the risk might be higher than just their freedom.

TrueJoshNight Truly Dreadful Film
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Bluebell Alcock Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies
sgt_guido The above comment says it all. Disguised as a fireman....kinda like being disguised as SWAT team members...mocking robot...kinda like a robotic van.....need I go on? While most of the movie was enjoyable...I rather that Ryan Reynolds character been more smartassed, and less angry. He plays smartassed rather well (Van Wilder, Blade Trinity). I understand not wanting to be typecast, but there is a difference between being typecast and playing to your strengths. Overall I thought it was a solid effort, but found it to be less of an homage to Oceans, and more of a blatant copy. I do agree that it was refreshing to see a movie made in a Canadian city that wasn't being passed off as an American city....and I'm from the States.
bill-brown At the end, when Kevin and Sam are in the shaft they are suspended from the counterweight for the elevator. When the elevator drops, they are pulled upward along one side or the back of the shaft by the counterweight. It seems to me that it would have been possible for Leo to see them being dragged up as the elevator plunges down. Granted, he was looking down but it seems like you would notice two bodies flying by out of the corner of your eye, especially if one of them was screaming.Didn't really occur to me until I'd seen the movie a couple of times. Still loved the movie. I would like to see Ryan Reynolds get more starring roles in bigger movies.
sirmixalotmigente i originally got this movie cause I rented Just friends and am a fan of Ryan . FOOLPROOF was recommended to me by blockbuster and i thought lets have a look. This movie is simple pure script no special effects and no artsyvisual effects. The movie is definitely worth a watch and its definitely entertainment for all.The story line is captivating and to be very honest i am a sucker for heist ,robberies and almost any movie pertaining to stealing from the MANThey don't make movies like this nowadayssure wish they did though
movieman_kev Sadly writer/director William Phillips must have felt the need to take the name of the film to heart in every literal way as the movie, about three friends who find themselves getting in over their heads after someone steals their bank heist plans, feels the need to hold the audiences hand every single step of the way, explaining everything that happens in the movie and thus dumbing it down exponentially. Foolproofing it as it were. Because of this the film feels a bit too long. Other than that and the fact that David Suchet took a role that seemed tailor made for Bob Hoskins, the film while never good in the conventional connotation of the word, is still serviceable enough for a rainy afternoon with nothing better to do. None of the actors (or actress) embarrasses themselves in the film (although Kristin comes VERY close), and the fun factor of it overcompensates for the convolutedness of it all.My Grade: C+
