Salubfoto It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.
Ariella Broughton It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
Logan By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
Bulldog1721 This movie Among others that are based on children's TV show, this movie creates a wonderful story that actually goes with the flow!!This movie has every element of family entertainment that you can think of... adventure, morals, comic humor, and most of all, the Muppet's that make this movie so memorable for the whole family to enjoy!!!!!It really is the best Seasme Street movie to be made! It also creates the best children's movie ever made for us 90s kids out there who are looking for Nostalgia!!!
gavin6942 Big Bird is sent to live far from Sesame Street by a pesky social worker. Unhappy, Big Bird runs away from his foster home, prompting the rest of the Sesame Street gang to go on a cross-country journey to find him.Maybe it helps if you grew up with Sesame Street. For me, this was actually the first film I ever saw in the theater. But I feel kids of all ages should still enjoy it today (2017). I have no memory of seeing the film as a kid, but loved it just as much now as I probably did then. Maybe more, because I was able to pick up on the dumbest jokes (like there being an "Oceanview" in Illinois).Parents, please expose your kids to this movie. It is about as fun and harmless as can be. Maybe not educational, but not everything can be.
Tommy Nelson stars: Dave Thomas and Joe Flaherty. cameos: Waylon Jennings, Chevy Chase, Sandra Bernhard, John Candy and others.Muppeteers: Carol Spinney as Big Bird and Oscar.Frank Oz as Bert, Grover and Cookie Monster.Jim Henson as Ernie and Kermit the frog.Martin P. Robinson as Telly and Snuffolupogous.Jerry Nelson as the Count.Richard Hunt as Gladys, Sully, Elmo and others.Great movie! It's about a group of birds deciding that Big Bird is lonely and relocating him with an adopted Bird family. Because he doesn't like the family, he runs away. Kermit the frog comes on the news telling everyone and Maria, Gordon, Oscar, The Count, Telly, Grover, Cookie Monster, Ernie, Bert and many others go searching for him by car, by helicopter and by flying(Super Grover). Great family fun for everyone. Even though it is based on an educational TV show, there isn't any numbers or learning here. It's got some really fun and funny moments and will has a sentimental value in my heart! rated G. 84 mins. my rating-A minus.
tfrizzell Big Bird decides to leave Sesame Street after being prompted by a social worker to become a part of a dim-wit bird family in the suburbs. Naturally Big Bird starts to realize that he misses his old neighborhood and friends and decides to go back to his rightful place. Silly road-trip movie with the most popular character from the vastly successful PBS series having the spotlight shined on him more than usual. The other Jim Henson Muppets from the series are also along for the tiring affair and so are a few human actors that had no business anywhere near a movie camera. Cameos (by John Candy and Chevy Chase in particular) and elementary-styled songs complete the production's higher points. Suitable for the youngest of age groups, but dull for adults and critically flightless. 2.5 out of 5 stars.
