filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Isbel A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Pjtaylor-96-138044 Colourful, cartoony but ultimately quite camp, this comic-book adaptation successfully swings for a slightly younger audience and maintains a lighter tone throughout whilst remaining relatively true to the source material and being consistently passively entertaining. There's a nice mix of CGI (now pretty dodgy but fairly convincing for the time) and practical effects, and the team-work theme hadn't been done to death when 'Fantastic Four (2005)' was fist released so it provided a satisfying conclusion when the Four finally fully came together to defeat the enjoyably hammy villain. Though it has its share of under-cooked moments that make little sense and may make you roll your eyes, it's never so bad as to cause offence and remains a somewhat decent, if forgettable, experience. 5/10
DCfan I loved this movie from start to finish. If you are a fan of the fantastic four you have come to the right place. Ioan Grufford, Chris Evens, Julian (whatever his last name is), Jessica, and Micheal Chailk were really good as their roles in this movie. The jokes were funny my favorite sense was Johnny Storm puts whip cream on Ben's hand when he is asleep and when he wakes up Splat! the cream goes on his face and The Thing yells "JOHNNNY!" Okay, I have to admit I found The Human Torch annoying at the start of the film but when I found out it was Chris Evens who is Captain America in MCU I was like why was I angry with Captain America.
Johnny H. What is it about Marvel's first family that Fox just can't get right? Is it the optimism of the source material? Is it the far-fetched concepts that made the comic unique when it was first published? Or is it that Fantastic Four is SO integrated with the Marvel Universe in the comics that on their own, the team isn't nearly as interesting as it should be? I think the problem with these movies, is EXACTLY the latter one I cited! These characters are so uninteresting in this film that it makes you sad for the Fantastic Four to still be stuck at Fox, ever since the 80s (when Marvel had to sell their film rights off to save their asses from bankruptcy). And this film feels lonely, though it does have some sense of fun in it, precisely because the interactions between the team and supporting characters are weak compared to the cast of the much-wider Marvel Universe. I love the comics of the original Fantastic Four, but damn the film lacks the imagination and originality of its creative source material. It has the colours, but the content is lacking and derivative of other superhero movies. Spiderman worked well, and X-Men blew us away in 2000. So why couldn't Fantastic Four do the same? I don't know.Colourful but lacking in story, character development, and the direction is soapy beyond belief. But at least it's watchable: unlike Josh Trank's notorious 2015 reboot.
jusjery I didn't think it was bad like how everyone said it was I kind of found it enjoyable and a great movie. I'm not a fan of it nope but come on guys it wasn't that bad it's not terrible and really rottentommatoes what the hell why does this movie has a 26% on rotten tomatoes it is not all that bad like how critics said it was it should probably get a 50's but 27 come on. Acting may e was not good like for example. Chris Evans was great in the fil m I think he is a great human torch and johnny storm. Michael chiklis was a good ben Grimm now that's the real ben. Jessica alba is hot in the movie well she doesn't fit as sue storm but I didn't think her acting was all that bad. But ioan gruffudd acting was not good oh no not great I think he was a bad reed Richards he didn't even try. Yeah don't think it was that bad I kind of like it and the fight scenes were kind of mehhhhhh mediocre but hp yeah that's all. 7.2/10
