Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
ThiefHott Too much of everything
Gutsycurene Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.
Orla Zuniga It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review
SnoopyStyle Mohammed (Vincent Gallo) is an Islamic fighter taken captive after killing an American soldier and two contractors. He is waterboarded and interrogated in a black site. While being transported, his van crashes and he escapes. He finds himself in a snowy wilderness land. He kills a logger and steals a freshly caught fish. He comes upon a home where Margaret (Emmanuelle Seigner) revives him. There is no real rooting interest for either side of this escape movie. With no emotional attachment, this becomes an uninvolving movie. It's more of an art-house movie. Mohammed has no dialog and there is no dialog for most of this movie. There may be a bigger message that the filmmaker is trying to make by stripping away most of the background and emotional signposts. There are some flashbacks but they convey little other than a tranquil Islamic family. Maybe I'm digging too deep where there is no actual depth. The biggest problem is that I don't invest in this movie. If there is something deeper, the audience should be left with an emotional connection or inquiring thoughts. This leaves me empty and uncaring.
almeidapm Plot: A man is captured in the desert by United States forces after attacking three soldiers, and is soon tortured and brutalized in a secret detention center. He finds himself transported to Poland, along with other prisoners. He manages to escape into the vast frozen woodland, a world away from the home he knew.If you are expecting a Hollywood kind of movie you will be disappointed. This polish films is more about the inner struggle to survive in a hostile environment, and how the human is conditioned to survive and will fight to the end not only to survive but most important to be free. This movie has a lot of the same basis as The Grey, the main difference is that the backdrop story is different, but the aspect of survival, is there, this one also adds the aspect of freedom as a goal that drives survival.
brainy elizea I do not have a problem with movies in which the main character doesn't say a word, of course, if we are talking about silent movies or let's call them art movies. But this movie is neither. The story starts out well but then the main character ends up at an unknown continent and we all go there with him. He strays the woods looking for escape and so do you.Because it seems that the end will never come for the main character nor for you.The movie gets three stars from me for a nice start and for the actors effort.
Dannifain Really bad movie with no narrative. No ending. It's a run away movie and it's just goes on and on with the same idea and it gets obnoxious and boring! Furthermore, The text writing has no sophistication at all.Don't waste your time and your money. I really don't understand how come the movie won 5 prizes in movie festival. The only thing I was satisfied with in the movie was the nature surrounding camera shooting which was magnificent. But still, the hero just wanders around in nature all along with no words coming from his mouth and the story just goes no where. In conclusion, the film was a waste of time and money and I believe you all will find a better violent and sophisticated movie to go to.
