what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Please excuse my English hear.It is not too good. But let me tell you all of the people That this film had me on the edge of my seats. It was really good because You never know what is a coming next. You are suspended until the action hits you like a brick in the head. Everyone I watched it with really enjoy the film because it was not full of bloody action but more of a story that people can read in the local newspaper where crazy things like this do happen! I thinks that the actor who played the escapee made a brilliant role because he made my friends afraid to look at the television.! When this fellow chases you, I say you better run like you never run before. Good actione and good acting make this scary movie worth it to buy from store where you buy movies.Salut, mes Amis!! Big fan of Dominic Purcell here. Was awesome in Prison Break.He doesn't disappoint in this horror/thriller either!!!An actress that caught my eye by her performance was the beautiful Christine Evangelista. Hot!!!As far as the action goes, it is a suspenseful Horror roller coaster ride. Not cheap fantasy horror but the kind that can happen in everyday life and is more scary because it's sooo REAL!!!!Everyone knows the gorgeous Faith Ford from Murphy Brown, Hope & Faith. Well she plays the part of the detective on the case and she delivers!! Try and catch it on Video On Demand like I did.You Won't B sorry, just scared witless..LOL

I was surprised at how good this film was after having read some of the reviews on here.Geez , people with an "ax to grind" should go play somewhere else.Some of us want honest reviews here.I usually stick to Kung Fu style movies where there is non stop action.While the film is not centered on fighting it HAS action of the terrifying, bone chilling kind. Dominic Purcall is a "MONSTER" in this film wreaking havoc on a small town!! Since picking up this film at # Redbox, I've become a fan of a newcomer to the genre ,Campion Murphy. This film cries for a sequel.I defy those who think they are bright to pick up on the numerous twists and embedded mysteries buried in the film.Ha! I saw them, if I may say so, myself! Ahem :) Do yourselves a favor & pick up a copy: see if you can pick up on the intricacies of this film:I dare you too!!!! Hahahaha...

If you have not seen this movie, do yourself a favour.Stop reading these comments, get up, take a shower, then GO GET THIS MOVIE. Buy it, don't rent. You will not regret it. Escapee has one of the better scripts you'll find in the horror/thriller genre over the last decade. Just as good as his writing ,is Campion Murphy's direction, which is outstanding and reminiscent of a young Hitchock. His brilliance is in keeping the action flowing at a gripping, break neck speed leading up 2 a climax that leaves one shivering long after The End. I've rarely seen a better villain played by Dominic Purcell : He must have been channelling some evil entity; simply frightening.Aww and what can one say about the beautiful Faith Ford, 5 Time Emmy Nominated Actress.I only wish she could have been in every scene!! If Campion Murphy and Faith Ford's next project is as accomplished as "Escapee", count me in!!!!!!!!!
